I am an Ohio State fan, and let me say this game worries me. With Bennie out, idk how we are going to score. Hopefully our defense comes ready to play.

sounds a little bit like Brent is grasping, in all honesty... but it is interesting if what he said about Beanie is true... not sure what to make of it...

part of the reason i bet this game was because, playing or not, i knew Beanie wouldn't be at full speed, full power, full cut... and i'd say that still holds true... he may end up in there, but i just don't see him being effective...

Local had this game at USC -12 as of last night.  I am waiting, it could go over 14 at this rate.  If I hit the big one on UGA Sat afternoon, I may roll half of it to OSU + 2 TDs.  Hate to do that, but cannot give that defense a 2 TD spot.  USC clearly the better team, but that would be a lot of points to pass up.  I hope the money continues to pour in on the Trojans as that feels better than laying the 10 1/2 the line was at yestaerday.  If it stays between 10 and 13, I will probably pass

I don't think it will get up to 14.  Two TDs seems like a lot to give to a respectable defense like Ohio St.  If you caught the line early USC backers are feeling better about the game, but -12 or -13 is still not too much for a pontent USC offense in the collisium on prime-time national TV spot

Is it just me or did OSU look really slow last week against Ohio? Beanie Wells is doubtful and the line has hardly moved. Wouldn't matter if he was playing cause USC has the best run defense in the nation. USC is quicker, better, more talented and will be playing for the National Championship this year. The line should be around 14. I love USC in this. They've also had two weeks to prepare.

even if beanie wells is going to play, which im sure he will, theres no way hes close to 100%.  but he also has the talent to do amazing things with  a bum foot for sure.  im basing my usc pick on ohio st's performance last week.

The problem with the posts on any gambling site is that everyone wants to hear something that validates their bets, and gives them hope that they will win.

Last night Everyone was on Rutgers for the game and the half (give or take a few people) and you see what happened. Vegas doesn't live in Ohio or L.A.....they live at the bank!

With that said I think Ohio State has shown us Twice against the SEC that they don't do speed well! If the game gets away early it could get ugly as Ohio State's offense can not score quickly...it's a slow and methodical offense....but we will see.

Finally I manned up and took OSU +11 at the southpoint sports book by my house. I sucked it up! I have a seen a lot about beanie and recruiting. Last time I checked OSU recruits pretty well, too, and you don't think they have some stud RB's in the wings waiting? Granted SC has about 90 RB's waiting their turn, but I think this will be closer than you think. Tressel is busting a Belichick on this WELLS situation. Lock and Loaded everyone! GL....
 
BTW for your Pac-10 fix I also took, Oregon -8, Arizona -10,and oregon st. -13

i think a lot of people underestimate tOSU's Defense.  i think this will be a low scoring game (with each team scoring under 20).  tOSU's secondary is loaded with All-Americans.  tOSU has the top LB and maybe the top pick in next years NFL draft.   losing beenie will hurt tOSU's ability to run the ball.  However,  If tOSU can keep USC under 21 points, they have a very good chance to cover in this game.   tOSU knows it has to keep this game close in order to be is NC consideration by the end of the season.  They will be able to say they played at the #1 ranked team without their best player.   More than lilkely USC, Fla and maybe OU will lose at least one game.  However, if tOSU get's blown out, their NC aspirations are over.
 
I may be wrong, but I say tOSU keeps this game close in a losing effort.

i don't consider that to be a problem with the site... in fact, that is pretty much the reason i look at the game threads... one of the biggest handicapping advantages you can have is understanding the pulse of the public...

Ohio St. vs USC -11 (1 unit) - tons of hype surrounding this game, and had Beanie Wells been fully healthy I would expect this line to be around 4 points.  But he is doubtful and a game-time decision so I wouldn't really expect him to contribute much even if he does play.  Main reason for my pick is because of how awful the Buckeyes looked on offense last week against Ohio.  But then again that could fuel the fire in the public eyes and warrant them taking more action on the Trojans.  Siding with the majority here means I'll go small with only a 1 unit pick.

I think Ohio St. would of handled Virginia also. They match up well against Virginia. They don't match up well against USC. USC was faster, quicker than Virginia. They're also faster, quicker then Ohio St. And don't forget about 80,000 aroused trojans...

The BIG story of the week is the match-up between OHIO ST vs SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA and Beanie Welles.  I would love to see Welles play against USC's defense.  It should be a good game.
