I really like ECU in this matchup, a very under-rated team. Boise St. isn't as impressive as years past, losing to it's only two decent opponents in Washington and Hawaii. ECU will at least keep this one close.

BSU seems to be too easy.....ECU is scrappy.......handed Central FLA thier only conference lose......and killed em. But the 99th ranked D going against a top 20 offense....and Defense......that is going to make it hard for me to take ECU.

JOHNSON WILL HAVE A BIG DAY (if your wondering which one it will be -----------------------CHRIS). isn't there some trend that says take double digit dogs in bowl games.

Guys, I am really starting to like East Carolina. I really like the fact that East Carolina beat UCF, but don't like that they lost to Marshall. I also like that BSU has the 111 SOS. Will Boise States return to the islands be good to them this time around, when they just lost there a couple of weeks ago?
3 out of 5 of East Carolina losses have come to bowl teams.
Lost 17-7 to Virginia Tech Lost 28-21 to Southern Miss
Lost 48-7 to West Virginia
And there other two losses...
Lost 34-20 to NC State
Lost 26-7 to Marshall
So two of there five losses to teams are now playing in BCS bowls.
East Carolina has played a total of 6 bowl teams this year, and went 3-3.
They beat Houston 37-35
Central Florida 52-38
and Memphis 56-40
The three losses have already been mentiones
While Boise State has only played 3 opponents who are in bowl games.
Nevada, won 69-67
Southern Miss, won 38-16
Hawaii, lost 39-27
All i am really saying here is East Carolina has played a tougher schedule and they have a nice win over UCF.

Dang, now I like Boise State a lot. They have scored the 5th most points per game, while ECU is in the bottom fourth of the points allowed on defense at 81.
Here are some mis matches....
Total Offence: Boise- 10
ECU - 71
Total Defense:
Boise- 21
ECU- 98
Keep going back and forth, but i am now leaning heavy on Boise

This bowl game will probably the least attended game of the year, especially considering Boise st. sent a fair amount of people to Hawaii just a couple of weeks ago. Nonetheless I expect Boise to cover

Great posts Hawkeye........I am very uncomfortable with this game. If it goes up more, I may just take the points. ECU was one of the top 5 teams in the country last year ats.......I tried to ride them this year.....but they kept buckin me! BSU, like you posted, really hasn't played anyone this year.....and the two teams they did.....both beat em.......and they needed everything they had to hold off Nevada!!! But one thing that those Broncos can do is score a lot of points!!
The key may be Boise's ability to shut down ECU??? Maybe the under is the best angle??

ECU ability to contain CFLA's run game has got me thinking more like ECU. Maybe a teaser?

I'm still on your line of thought Blu......I just can't make up my mind.....I'm just not convinced that BSU is excited about this season........it ended in a huge disappoitmnet and they may still be thinking about the experience last year as they get off the plane and walk into the vodoo filled stadium of Hawaii's!!!BSU could kill em......but ECU could play with them much the same way that Nevada did........The dog is looking better and better to me......and as the game closes in on us......that line will have to go up a titch with all the public money on Boise!?!?

You almost gotta think that playing in Hawaii favors Boise St. Boise St plays here every other year and pretty much knows what to expect on & off the field. Boise St has beaten Hawaii here many times until this season so it will probably fell like a home game for them minus the 20,000 more fans than there used too.
