The same thing will happen this year, it always does. So who will it be? Who are this year's pretenders in the Top 10 that will be playing in the Champ Sports Bowl come December?
I think that after those top 4 teams, any other team in the top 15 is not a real contender to win the NC.
Virginia Tech is my team, but they always find a way to blow one game because their offensive coordinator is a joke. I don't think any team in the ACC will run the table.
Ohio State and Penn State are in the Big 10 and that says it all for me. Unless Ohio State puts a beat down on USC, I won't think anything of any team in that conference. However, if one does somehow make the NC, it won't bother me, because I'll fade them and cash in.
The most talented team out of the top 4 IMO is Oklahoma State. However, it will be extremely difficult for them to beat both Texas and OU. And I don't know how good their defense is.
In the SEC, I think Alabama will drop off, not having a proven QB. LSU could be a threat to Florida, but IMO the biggest threat in the SEC is Ole Miss. They beat Florida last year, and a good coach.
Boise State? Please... they can go undefeated 3 years in a row, and until there is a playoff, it won't mean anything.
In the Pac-10, maybe Cal or Oregon could contend, I can't say much about these guys cuz I don't know any players on those teams besides Javhid Best on Cal who is nasty.
The Big East doesn't present any real contender at all IMO. Some pretty decent teams, just no great teams.
