thanks for the insight pix, was not aware of all the USC injuries.More than wins and losses in the past two weeks, the story around USC has been injuries, injuries and more injuries. That theme continued this week as the Trojans prepared to take on Oregon State in Corvallis. Luckily for USC, the news hasn’t been all bad.
After missing the game against Utah, USC welcomes back Marqise Lee and Xavier Grimble. Dion Bailey, who missed the first half last week, and Su’a Cravens, who missed the second half, are both expected to take the field in the secondary.
Unfortunately, the Trojans will still be without several key players. It doesn’t look good for left tackle Kevin Graf. His absence will necessitate some shuffling on the offensive line with right guard Max Tuerk most likely to shift over as cover. Tight end Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick is also unlikely to return.
In the all-caps OUT category, Morgan Breslin is a major loss, even though J.R. Tavai has emerged as a big time player in his absence. At corner, Josh Shaw will be stepping in for the injured Anthony Brown once more this week. On the offensive side, Randall Telfer will miss his second straight contest.
We also learned this week that walk-on tight end Shane Sullivan tore his ACL aganst Utah and will miss the remainder of the season.
