In playing 4 team teasers (and lots of them) you really need a few good anchor plays that have a very high win percentage than lean heavy on that winner. When it goes bad you realize how risky it can be.
If you didn't follow me in the NFL I cleaned up and and won 18 out of my 19 teaser selections winning (and sweating it out) my key game in denver over.

Before I tell you what I hit earlier this week....let's talk about tonight's game.
I really like tonight's game in a teaser.
I was skiddish under +10 but I am getting +11.5 with Cincy now and think that is a safe bet. Will they win? who knows. Will they keep it within 7 pts? Good chance but still up in the air. Will they lose by 10? It is possible.....less likely.....now will they lose by a key # of 11? I really really doubt it. I remember 3 weeks ago folks were saying how great Ark state was and has a great offense and went from -3 to a pk game and was blown out at Memphis. Guys here are drawing parallels between the two games and deem it as a trap game. Cincy has covered for me 3 of the last 4 weeks and it took 4 additional turnovers and a pick 6 and a blocked fg for a TD to do it against a team that can't score in south florida.
Cincy's offense isn't great but I will take a backup 6th year QB who is completing 71% of his passes with an exceptional TD-INT ratio over the last month and half. If you want to draw parallelisms let's do it with Houston and Memphis. It was a low-scoring affair against a solid O in Houston and a solid D in memphis. And memphis lost by 10 pts (I had +3.5 houst in a teaser) on the road. The reason I bring this up is that Houston has the 94th ranked D in college and held them to FIVE FGs. Again, folks can argue that Cincy has not played anyone but they come in with the 7th best D in all of football. Memphis has scored 17 or less points in 4 of their 6 games. They scored 29 last game against SMU but it is important to remember they were down 31-7 at the half (I had smu +16.5 for the game in the teaser).
I have a lot of faith in cincy......Memphis will find a way to score their 13-17 pts tonight.......have to like the over in this one even though I am inclined to go under.
The over I have is a minuscule 31.5 points in the teaser.
Memphis has gone over 32 points combined scoring in every game this season , 6-0.
Bearcats have blasted that number except for a hiccup with a 14 point shut out of a horrible miami ohio team that had roughly 100 yards total offense. There were 5 TOs in that game contributing to the super low score.
that is 11-1 over 31.5 pts. SIgn me up, that is a great percentage.
I was thinking of the under 57.5......but if the bear cats get a lead Memphis can make garbage plays or make mistakes.
I see 27-17 or something in that range.

24. Ariz st in the pac-10 is averaging 56
pts. 20 points under their average and
it goes over. I would lean wash st +24.5
points but I am just playing the over in the teaser due to the explosive nature
of ariz st’s offense.

+9.5 & und 73.5: Who is one of the
worst offensive teams in football? If
you said La Monroe you are right, but I am sure it wasn’t in your first 20
guesses. LAM is avg 19.9 pts per game
and if you take out the pasting of Grambling & Geog state (86 pts in these
two games) the average drops sharply to only 12.2 pts. 2 of their 4 wins are against those two
horrible teams and the def on the year is avg 33+ pts allowed. One thing is for sure that Troy can beat up on the bad teams but it was
very surprising last week going on the road to W kent and pulling out a W
putting up 30 pts. LAM has scored 40
points its last 4 road tilts and I don’t see them breaking 21 tonight. Throw in that vegas set the total at 61 on
this game and I will take the under 73.5.
I feel this number covers by 3 TDs and see a 27-17 or 31-21 type
contest. I don’t feel comfortable with
over 47.5 in this spot because sometimes Troy
moves the ball but it doesn’t show up on the scoreboard.
Dolphins +15.5 : must win game for this team that was
demoralized last week against the Pats on the road. Last time at home they covered for me +7.5
against buff and the week before I had Balt.
Last week I just had the over in a teaser and a large play 2H pats and
over. Been very successful betting on or
against them and I look for that to continue tonight. I think miami
surprises them early coming off such a fat win at home against the jets.
Dolphins over 30.5 : Both teams will run it successfully and
both will past it deep. Have to think
they trip over 31 in the parking lot.
Houst -4.5 & over 40.5 : I have no idea but this game
scares me to death tonight. Last week at
noon I had Lou as a key anchor play of -6.5 and over 33.5 on the road. I thought they would score 34 pts and have
the team total as well. Even though all
went according to plan, I had to sweat out the over and needed a pick 6 to
cover the team total prop and over. So
why the over? Simple. Houston
is a better team. Seriously. They are better offensively. Don’t believe me? Lou had 20 points through 3 quarters. Bridgewater
was 21 or 23 passing for 300+ yards and their horrible coach insisted they run
the ball 30+ times. Not once but TWICE
Lou kicked fgs on a first and goal from inside their 5. They insisted on running it 6 straight
times. Not only does that waste 3-5 mins
of clock it doesn’t take adv of Bridgewater’s
passing ability, ball fake, roll out, etc.
They were completely content with the 3 pts. Houston
will be throwing 5 of the 6 downs and probably make it in 3 or 4 of their
tries….elapsing less than 2 mins off the clock if they kick both fgs. They will take shots down the field early and
often. I keep going back in my mind to the
way they battled BYU. BYU is a VERY good
team, if I was a coach I wouldn’t want to play them. Houston
tore them apart for the first half then played outstanding D to lose a heart
breaker. Everyone keeps talking about
how USF beat Cincy. If you saw the game
it was a blocked fg for a td and a pick 6 for a td then 3 more lost balls by
cincy to squeak out a 6 pt victory. Look
at last night…..memphis put 3 TDs on Cincy……Houston held them to 5
fgs in a 10 pt win. I also think the
USF offense will be loose with looking for a new direction offensively,
bolstered by getting their starting RB back.
They have nothing to lose slinging the ball down double digits and
Houston is one of the more opportunistic teams in the country.
North Texas +10.5 & under 66.5 : Oh my, Pix has lost his
mind…..TWO unders in one night….how can that be?! Have to play the percentages in this
situation. When N texas played @ Georgia
the total landed on 66. Rice is a ball
controlled running offense. It is
important to note that they are not dynamic either. That is important since they don’t get huge
chunks of yardage but rather grind it out and play keep away. Rice boasts the 15th ranked run games and is
105th out of 126 teams in passing. Additionally, they are also 33rd in
the country against the pass. They aren't flashy, rolling up 400 and
giving up 400.....but this game is more even than you think and with a ball
control offense in a close game in the second half I don't want to throw the
remote through the tv. Rice played houston and it landed under 60 pts and
the only over 66.5 would naturally be the beat down by T A&Ms machine
offense. N tex played Ball state a few weeks ago and didn't hit 66.5
pts. Also keep in mind that N texas is VERY sound against the run, in
fact they rank 22nd overall. That doesn't mean that Rice isn't going to
run it 45 times or more tonight. I
look for a close game....the +10.5 is a gift and will win outright.
