Jordan Lynch and Rob Carey have put lotta money in pocket this year, and really started capping this intending to back them again. The more I looked, the more I liked Freddie and Freda. And I am not for one second going to go with the refs-throw-it-for-BCS-money theory. Think anyone that ever sat in locker room and heard a pre-game speech in the biggest game their career won't buy it either. Lotta guys in Orange tonite that could give a chit about BCS money.
Jordan is a stud, I've said so every week. Falcons won't stop him, but really believe they can slow him and have the personnel to slow the game. Ball St had these guys on the ropes, but didn't have the D to step up in 4th Qtr. Really think Freddie and Freda do.
BG brings more balance than any team Huskies have faced. Johnson has thrown 2800+ yds, 18 TDs, and legs that BallSt and Wenning don't have. 10 receivers have scored TDs. Travis Greene over 1400 rushing. Expect up-tempo and ball control and try to make game all about their D. Falcon O #24 rush, #27 total, #32 scoring so Lynch and Co. not only team here capable of running the ball and scoring pts. and think notable advantage BG special teams.
BG D #4 pass, #28 rush , #7 total, and #5 scoring. Held Buffalo to 15 rush yds and have not allowed 2nd half point in last 4 games. Overall, only 11 ppg all MAC games. Yes, I know those games weren't against the quality they'll see tonite, but think enough talent there to control the game.
Ford Field close drive for both teams and fans here so no real advantage for either. Fans will follow both. Note NIU has UNDERED 10-2 last 12 neutral site games, and dog has cashed 4 last 5 MAC Championships. Really think birds do it here, I'm wrong a lot tho.
GL all esp Freddie and Freda
