Hey gang, picked up some bones on MNF backing the Cowboys. Man, that Defense looked good. Then again, they were facing the 31st ranked Offense so they still have a lot to prove.
Onto tonight I don't normally wager on MAC games, but this one stands out.
CENTRAL MICHIGAN -7 (-120)
This Central Michigan vs. Kent State matchup is a classic MAC mismatch, and you should be riding the Chippewas. Central Michigan (-7) Line has been all over the place in this one, but I had -7.5 and bought the half as i HATE the hook on any bet you will always see me buy up or down off that usually.
CM is the vastly superior team across the board, and this game is less about Kent State's home field and more about CMU's dominant advantage in the trenches and on the stat sheet. Kent State ranks near the bottom of the FBS in Def. Points Per Game (34.4 PPG allowed) and has struggled against any competent MAC offense. CMU, who is already bowl eligible and still fighting for a MAC Championship berth, has the clear motivation and the defensive backbone to shut down a rebuilding Kent State program. Central Michigan wins by controlling the line of scrimmage, generating turnovers (CMU is +8 in turnover margin, KSU is -2), and pulling away comfortably in the second half. Lay the chalk

I don't typically take one bad game a team has an overall trajectory for how I will bet on one game but rather an overall view of their team dynamics, effort and consistency in team chemistry. Injuries play a big factor in my capping as well as the matchups. AKRON just simply outplayed them, and CM could not stop them on 3rd downs. A crucial metric when evaluating any teams probability in winning/covering a game.

Bad game or outplayed. Which is it. Anyway not trying to convince just think your write up is all one sided like most write ups. I see some positives for Kent who knows how itlll turn out though.

How would you like me to convince those who come here for solid capping advice to take my play by giving confusing contradicting views on both teams? Lol. Someone has to lose. Pick a side and stick to it. Lol. GL whichever you play

Exactly...Know your teams...and line won't sway your opinion. I agree with your write-up because I've followed these teams. I actually know (theory) why CMCH lost that game to Akron. But that's my homework.

A bit frustrating to watch. Have to hand it to Kents Defense tonight they showed grit. Unfortunately so did CMU's giving them enough time for their Offense to find the End zone a few more times.
Congrats all CMU backers. Onto the next one
