James Franklin headed to Virginia Tech?

I agree with the guys on Gameday. It would be a great fit.

he'll have many choices next month.  plenty of upper to mid tier programs would take him.  he's a good coach.  just not great.  but many schools would be happy with an improvement

I think this would be a good fit as well. Slightly easier conference for him, they have a passionate fan base and not a lot of competition for entertainment dollars. He should be able to recruit fairly well in DMV and PA. I liked him at Vandy, hate everyone at Penn State, think he could consistently get them 8 or 9 wins with the occasional double digits. 

Franklin would stabilize Va Tech and get them recruiting the 757 and DMV ( which he did well with at PSU).

8, 9 wins would be appreciated.

I think this is a fantastic choice by him. Can easily compete for titles in ACC along with playoff bids and they will have patience and give him plenty of time to do so there.

 Well you were half right…the ACC is bad…problem is Big 10 is a 3-4 team conference..easy game after easy game…try keeping up
