While my NFL picks this year have been excellent, I've been a disaster in CFB. Nonetheless, there's an under the radar game tonight that I just love. Beware, however, that I've been a mess in CFB all year.
Thursday:
4* College Football Game Of The Year South Florida +3
1) South Florida has had an outstanding offense all year and is highly motivated as this is its first bowl game in years and they get to play in-state in Boca.
2) While South Florida's defense is awful, Syracuse is using a third-string QB and expected to run the "Wildcat" most of the game.
3) Syracuse coaching staff is in flux and the RB coach is acting as interim with the new HC looking over hs shoulder on the sidelines. South Florida, by contrast, has coaching stability and there are good vibes about the job Alex Golesh is doing.
4) Syracuse has a lot of key players in the portal because of the coaching change
5) Frame of mind and motivation is huge in these lesser bowls and South Florida wants to be here while the Syracuse program is in transition and is being led by some lame duck coaches. I also have to believe Syracuse has been more focused on hanging out in one of the country's greatest cities (Boca Raton) than prepping for a bowl game most people don't even know is happening.
Saturday:
1* Air Force +2
Service academies are always tough in bowls. James Madison's coach has quit and the prep for this game isn't ideal. Key: the portal has almost no impact on service academies and Air Force's roster is stable going into this game

I was gonna go huge on USF too but it's just too early in bowl season and they have a horrid defense and are always sloppy so I'm keeping it to just a standard play.
If the Bulls had any pass rush whatsoever I'd be really confident because this lanky kid would be like a sitting duck back there. But they don't. One of the worst in the nation at getting sacks which is why they can't get any stops.
But I think motivation and such like you said is better on USF and they have the much better offense too so IMO the value here is firmly on the dog.
