Got my ass handed to me with a 2-6 week last week, although I'm still a little up on the season at 11-8.
I'm a lot busier this fall than last fall, and I'm not sure I'm reading things as well. Still, here are some initial leans. Thoughts, as always, are appreciated.
*WKU -9.5. I'm a Vols fan, so I was watching last week. WKU dominated the first half but turned the ball over six times. Tennessee took over in the second half, but South Alabama isn't Tennessee. Only concern here is WKU's mental state after seriously stepping down in opponent class.
*Rutgers -28. Because it seems they may have an offense (or at least a lot more than last year), and EMU doesn't have an anything.
*Georgia Tech -8.5. Duke seems to really struggle stopping the option. If they can get the passing game going, they might get a high-scoring cover, but I'm not totally sold. If you like Duke, I feel like the over is the best choice.
*Toledo -6.5. Didn't get it at three like some others, but I still think Eastern Washington is being overvalued because of what they did to Oregon State.
*Purdue +20.5. Is Purdue total trash this year? Sure. But Notre Dame isn't that great at covering three score spreads, and they have a rough sandwich between the Michigan schools.
*FAU +13. Would be purely a fade of South Florida. Debating whether I trust FAU enough to take them, even with double digits.
*Oregon State +3. The Beavers have a tendency to screw around in non-conference play and shape up in conference. I honestly think they're the better team here.
*Youngstown State +24. Because Sparty can't score.
*Iowa/ISU under 48. Do you trust either of these teams to put up points? I certainly don't.
*Bowling Green/Indiana over 61. I might just play every Indiana over until they either stop hitting them or somebody decides to set them at 80.
