But that is no indication of this year's performance. But their is some unbelievable plays this year as I see misperception up and down the schedule...should be a great year. Enjoy.

i like this year's bowl slate much more than last year's, even though i had a very good bowl season last year... i agree that there is a good disparity between perception and reality in a lot of games...

Well, I have seen TWO. Perhaps NIU is the right side - we shall see, right. IMO, they are coming off of a tough end to the season, losing to Miami of Ohio in the MAC championship in a crazy ending (it is the MAC, so that is expected). They are dealing with coaching changes, and they have shown that against the stronger opponents in their conference, they cannot shell out 50+ points.
Fresno State is coming off of a hard-fought win SU over favorite Illinois, who is a much improved team this year. They will be healthier and I do believer their running game as well as passing will be in full force.
NIU is getting a lot of credit for their season record and appearance in the MAC Championship game. I think Fresno is getting a little less credit than they deserve due to their shut-out versus Boise State.
My larger wager is on Fresno State Team Total OVER 28. They have put up 28+ in 8 of 12 games. They put up over 23 points in 3 of those 4 where they didn't reach 28, and obviously the Boise State shut-out was their lowest scoring game. Not sure if that would be called low scoring or no scoring.
This is a MAC team, where they have allowed even the likes of Buffalo and Akron to put up 14 points. I believe Fresno State can put up 34 points in this game - enough to secure a victory and cover the TT.
P.S. I don't care how many people are on one-side. I've seen that play out both ways. Arizona State? Four of us where on Arizona that last PAC-10 game and we know how that turned out.
San Diego last night, and the Giants on Monday night...same thing. It goes both ways. Though I do hate to be a part of the covers blood bath when it does happen.

I think Troy wins this game, but I would have to play the ML because I think it will be down to the wire. Maybe even an OT type game.
I like Ohio b/c they are a "running dog" in this game. I also think Ohio might come out fired up after a disappointing season, getting shut out of the championship.
It's too, too close to call for me and I vow this bowl season to stay away from the coin flip match-ups.
