Yesterday didn't go as planned. Nova cost a lot of people money by missing the open dunk, I know a few people that got it at +8 when it opened and that blows for them. 2-5 on the day.
Oakland -2.5
IUPW beat Oakland by 6 in OT back in December, so revenge angle may be there, but its been over a month so maybe not. However, Oakland is a much better team this time around. Yes they have lost their last two games, but they were the 3rd and 4th leg of a road trip which is brutal. Prior to that, they had won 7 of 8, including a win over Northern Kentucky and Milwaukee, whom both sit atop the conference.
Charleston -7.5
CoC has earned a soft spot in heart over the course of this year. I'm super high on them and their coach and his style of play. Outside of their loss to Hofstra on Saturday, they have beaten everyone but one team by double digits this calendar year. When they are focused on offense, they are nearly unstoppable in the Colonial. Drexel hasn't broken the 60 point mark on offense in their last two either. This one could get ugly.
Stony Brook -2.5
Total fade of Elon and a small number. They just got their first win in well over a month, and had one of, if not their best, offensive game of the year. The come back to the median tonight and all is back to normal.
Troy -1
Not taking the bait here. Southern Miss is tied for conference lead, have won 8 of 10, 19-4 on the year, all kinds of things going right. Troy has lost 4 of 5, sitting middle of the pack in conference. Joe Public sees this line and ejaculates all over Southern Miss. I'll side with Vegas on this one. Similar in thought to Tenn/UF last night.
Utah -5.5
Stanford has won 4 straight but against far inferior talent then they will face tonight. They beat Cal, Chicago St, Oregon St and Oregon. Utah defends and makes you work for everything you get. They already beat Stanford at their place, and have a decent home court advantage plus the ever present altitude factor in the west.
Loyola Marymount +5
Going back to the well with Kelle Leaupepe and the gang, as they have treated me very well this year. BYU coming off a heart breaker at home vs St. Marys and I'm not sure how they respond to another team that is willing to get physical and run them off the 3pt line. Revenge for the Cougars, but only by a basket.
Montana St -12.5
Bobcats are heading home after a 3 game road trip, to get the bottom of barrel Lumberjacks. UNA doesn't do anything well really. Montana St never really has gotten a ton of respect from the line makers, and I think this one is about 5 points short.
Good Luck today all!
