92% of the public is on the over for this one. Could you explain?

They beat Illinois Chicago twice this year already, and that's a team that's just not very good. Thoughts?

What are your thoughts on that one?

I've got a fairly safe parlay:
Green Bay -2.5 UConn +9.5 Minny +11.5 Mich -1.5 SDSU -0.5 Bucknell -9.5 $5 pays $50. You can always pull one of those off.

What do you think about this as an add play to a teaser at +11.5?

Word of caution- last night William & Mary missed by more than 16 points against Hofstra.
I've done this and missed on 16 points in the following instances: William & Mary L vs. Hofstra 2/24 (14/15 wins) Maryland L vs. Minnesota 2/22 (8/9 wins) Iona L vs. Rider 2/19 (7/9 wins) Yale L vs. Penn 2/19 (7/9 wins) Denver L vs. IUPU 2/19 (6/9 wins) Florida State L vs. Pittsburgh 2/18 (14/15 wins) Tennesee Martin L vs. SE Missouri State (14/15 wins) South Alabama L vs. UL Lafayette 2/13 (9/10 wins) William & Mary L vs. Drexel 2/9 (14/15 wins) At one point I did win two back to back on 2/7 and 2/8. Miami L vs. Florida State on 2/1 (14/15 wins) Not poopooing you, just want to be sure you know it's not bulletproof, and Friday night is THE most dangerous time to do something like this because the cards are so small. Watch out for those landmines.

Started doing this when one errant pick would wipe out a progressive teaser:
Pick One- Xavier +13.5 Pick Two- Butler +20, North Dakota State +8 Pick Three- Wake Forest +7, Rider +3.5, Nevada +5 Pick Four (Teased to 12)- TCU +24, Syracuse +16, Northern Iowa +12, Georgetown Pk BOL All!

I have a source who's the basketball that will be used in tonight's game. He says he will go in the hole more times for the Rockets because he's a Harden fan.

On a weekend when the 49ers, Jaguars, and Browns all won, ANYTHING is possible.

That ridiculous 2 point attempt shot them in the foot and KILLED the over teaser. IDIOTS!

I'm thinking San Diego/Carolina, Pittsburgh/Buffalo, Houston/Indy, Dallas/Giants, with possibly Washington/Philly or Tampa/New Orleans taking one of those spots. What do you guys think?

What do you mean by teasing the team and the total?

If you bet on 8 six-point teasers that could hit either way, that's a total of 216 combinations. If you bet a total of $10 on each combination, that's $2160 with a possibility of winning $32400 at 15 to 1 odds.
Baltimore/New England +7/-7... Baltimore keeps it fairly close, but New England at least wins, meaning both hit. Dallas/NYG -3/+3... Giants at least keep it within a score. Even if the Cowboys stumble, they can lose by a field goal and still cover. Washington/Philidelphia and San Diego/Carolina will probably be close games, so +5, +7 should be fine. Minnesota/Jacksonville should be low scoring, Jacksonville should be able to keep it within single digits. Colts/Texans, Colts are heavily favored coming off that big win, but the Texans shouldn't lose by 12. Bears/Lions- this one's a little risky, but Chicago showed they're not awful once Barkley got going. I say they lose by 10, but not 15. Oakland/KC, should be low scoring and close. Raiders will lose, but they can keep it within a score. |
