I hear a lot of talk about the Lions shooting themselves in the foot lately and how that will all change. But the same team will take the field. The pack has been self destructing with a turnover machine at QB but make a change this week. Good Luck.

Keep your head up and your feet moving MR FLYNN. Lions win by at least 7. Lions loss to TBAY last week was a look ahead game to their most hated foe the GREEN BAY PACKERS. Forget GB's recent struggles under the inept
Tolzien 1/5 TD/INT - 66.8 QB rating GB owns the Lions regardless of who starts. Flynn wasn't in Oakland long enough to learn the system and become productive, but then again can anyone excel there? Flynn can and will produce this week with GB. Anyone know what kind of numbers he had last time he started against the Lions? Matt Flynn 31/44 480yds 6TD 1INT and that was I believe only his 2nd NFL start. Besides, the teams that have beaten the Pack lately can run the ball. Something the Lions can't do. Another thing they can't do is stop the run. The pack will run for a buck fifty and Flynn will toss 3 or 4 TDs as the Lions drop another Thanksgiving game. Sure GB may run out of gas in the 4th quarter but it will be too late for Detroit by then.

I'm guessing you capped this with the current season numbers which had E.J. Manuel running the Bills offense. Did you see how they played last Thursday with that Tuel for a QB? Manuel had set them up for the go ahead TD in the third which they got thanks in part to pass interference after his exit. That put them up 24-17 and they lost 37-24. Tuel had a QB rating of about 33 and tossed a pick 6. That was against the Browns who were back to Weeden who couldn't do a thing the first 2 weeks. This game would be very close to a pick with Manuel in, but very hard to judge just how bad the Bills will be here without Manuel. Tread lightly.

Those of you with your pipe dreams of Indy having a shot here can pack that in your bowl and smoke it. -1 is a joke. SEATTLE rolls Indy. Wilson will always find a way to win as long as the opposing team makes costly mistakes like pick6s and unnecessary roughness penalties. They are an elite home team, but a so-so road team. I can't remember them ever winning 2 straight road games, but then again, they didn't really win last week. Houston dominated them, but rolled over in the 4th and OT. The Colts are a vastly improved team from just a couple weeks ago when they lost at home to the fish. They have found a way to run the ball, dominate time of possession and keep their defense off the field which allows them to play much more efficiently. Houston struggled through 3 weeks against SD, Tenn and Balt but still dominated Seattle all but the final half a quarter plus OT. I was all over Balt week 3 as a home dog against the struggling Texans. And I jumped on the Texans last week early @ +3 vs a Jeckyl/Hyde road/home team, but settled for a push.

First of all, the folks who keep talking about how great the Ravens are at home must have missed the thumping Denver gave them last month and the one they lost to Charlie Batch two weeks earlier. Can the Colts win this game? Absolutely. It is the National Fixed League after all and stranger things have happened. The Colts traveling to Denver would certainly make for a better story than the replay of that Denver/Baltimore beat down. And if Batch can win in Baltimore, a sharp Luck could do it as well. However don't expect a very sharp Andrew Luck here...
As a fan of Indy since they snuck out of Baltimore in 1984 allow me to give my take on this. First, the Colts and Luck have overachieved this year much to my delight. Luck has impressed me and shows great potential, but is a rookie who makes a lot of rookie mistakes. After 13 games he was leading the league in turnovers. He really struggled on the road as did the Colts as a team. They won 4 games on the road against 2-14 KC, 2-14 Jax, 4-12 Det and 6 -10 Ten. That was 4 wins against teams with a combined 14-50 record. They needed OT to beat the Titans. They gave up a ton of points on the road, not just to the mighty Pats, but 41 to the Bears, 33 to the Lions and 35 to the Jets. The Colts 'D' is horrendous, especially on the road and will be a shot in the arm to the Ravens. If you can play over 26.5 on the Ravens team total, snag it up. Expect the Ravens to score 35-40 points. Even after all these years, the Colts are still despised in Baltimore. Andrew Luck will find himself in a very hostile environment and will almost certainly choke under this pressure of a fired up defense combined with a very loud crowd. Look for at least 3 turnovers leading to some easy Ravens points. I know the Colts are the trendy pick and I'd love to see them win but I'll bet with my head instead of my heart. Ravens -7 Over 47 Ravens team total over 26.5 Prediction Colts 20 Ravens 37

Zip, research really is the biggest factor. Takes luck, skill and a hellua lot of work. I started playing survivor christmas 2001. Hit a 13 game streak in march 2002. Took way too much time from family and too much stress. Spent 5-6 hours a day after working the real job for 10+. I am a football guy, but that is the hardest to beat. Books have all week to tweek lines. Hoops is easiest to beat. Books have to make many lines on nightly basis. With NBA and NCAA, injuries, illness, coaching decisions too much to track. Lines aren't as sharp. My streak 13 game was 12 hoops and 1 baseball. I've had other streaks from 6-11, but I just can't spend the real time needed to take it that seriously any more. GL, Daddio

. Something to think about, the Retrievers 6'9" big guy Justin Fry who scored 16 in their win over Binghamton in Baltimore, did not play in the 20 point loss at NY. Also, with the cash coming in on the favorite Bearcats, they are less likely to get 17 more trips to the stripe than the Retrievers like last game. This should be a closer game than most think. As for LSU, IMHO they just don't have the depth to hang with the hot Bulldogs. LSU is playing their first back to back game of the season and their starters played almost the entire game yesterday. 4 played 36+ minutes and the other fouled out with 32 minutes. They used just 2 subs. Miss St cruised to 2 easy wins utilizing the bench very well. MSU should win SU. Well, that's just my 2 cents, but best of luck to you. |

Going Down?? Hey Marky Mark, you better learn to sink a few free throws before you crown yourself. Sure, you might have hit a few more from behind the arc, but 25% at the charity stripe won't get you through the tourney. See my team hit the 3ball and shot 100% from the stripe. So from my view, you have already gone down! |
