I think 9th str8 game vs. Lefty for Cle. Hot bats in Sea will continue and LAA has been putting up runs (other than yesterday)

Hello All.
Need some help with the wind at the Razor
Says 13 with gusts to 21 out of West. I looked at Don Best web site. It says that the wind will be blowing toward an endzone. Which, I think is a big difference from blowing side to side. Doesn't every NFL stadium face N/S
Can someone that is close to the stadium confirm wind direction and strength.
thanks & GL

I hope that there are a lot of big plays on the under. I would love to see that line go down.
NYG should have given up at least 20 points to TB. There is no comparison between TB's strategy/offesive playmakers and those of Dal. On the other side, Manning is playing his best ball of the season. Both teams will be able to run enough to keep the pass rushers honest. As long as both Burress and Owens stay healthy, they will make their plays. Owens has a little easier route due to the NYG secondary replacement(s). I see both teams scoring points. I think 7 is a good numbers. Dallas Offense is good for 4 TD's and NYG is good for 3. If there are turnovers and/or big special teams plays, this could come close to going over in the 1st half like the GB/Sea game.

Not really going to play this game. I am usually 100% when I don't let my $$ get in the way.

Playing well. Any word on T-Mac? His presence could mix up the flow of the offense that seems to be going well.
I like Hou. Probably a 1st half play too

I liked the Jazz even before knowing about the injuries. It is just a good position for them. The will catch the Suns on no rest with a bunch of guys with nagging injuries. The Suns have been inconsistent lately. Jazz win going away at home.

I agree with bd, the 1st half line is good assuming 2 things.
1) There is a clear better team
2) The teams are prepared for the game. (meaning it is a big game)
I think both are true here for LSU. I will take LSU 1st half. I have a 2.5 as well. But, I have a unique situation in that I can play HT ML. I will do this with LSU. I have an 8 team parlay with 6 winners and that will be #7.
Unfortunately, I disagree with bd and some others on the total. I think it will start out slow. Likely staying under in the 1st Q and maybe in the 1st half. I expect LSU to run ahead with OSU kicking a few FGs. Maybe something like 17-6 at half. I think they will make some adjustments and put at least a couple TD's on the board in the 2nd half. The problem for OSU is that they won't be able to hold back LSU's athletes. They will have to outscore them. Who knows if they will be successful. But, one thing is certain, if you think OSU is going to win, you better take the over.
My plays - All modest after an all win Sunday. Ranked in order
1) LSU 1st half - ML
2) Over in 2nd Half (assuming 27 or less points scored in first half)
3) 1st Q under

1st play of the 2nd half, if LT cuts back it is 15 yards. But, they complete intermediate post. Both will be ther all game

By the way, has anyone looked at the penalty yard comparison between the 2 games? You can call a hold on ANY play. Interesting isn't it

SD will get the ball. Two things you will see from them. First, you will see LT start to cut back. He is trying to outrun playside and Tenn LB's are flying out. Next, you will see the play action post. Like I mentioned, the LB's are playing 100% LT leaving the 15 to 20 intermediate routes wide open.
On defense, you will see SD start to commit the Safety to the run as well as playing games to get Merrian free on the rush. I expect to see the S come off the edge with the DT and Merrian running a twist stunt to free him up the middle.

Wise guy, you print up the boxscore that I referred to when I made my post. That was what put me over the edge to make the 1st half under my play of the day. I love to have action so I decided to put some down on the game under. I did this with the intension of a middle playing the 2nd half over. I am going to sit back and let everyone bet the 2nd half total down. Then, play a great middle with the 2nd half over. Sit back and drink my koolaid. For those SD backers, I wish you well. |

Unless the reports that I read are wrong, White is going to be very limited and VY will try to play but it will be a game time decision as to how he feels when he runs around during pre-game.
I just took a look at the 1st meeting between the two teams. A few things stood out.
- White has 30 carries for 113 yd and a 7yd TD run
- Tenn TD drives were 19 yards and 42 yards
- Top 3 receivers for Tenn were Williams (out), White (???) and Scaife (out)
- Gates left the game for a period of time and came back to catch a TD
- Rivers left the game for a period of time and came back to throw a TD
- LT ran for 146 yards on 26 carries.
- There were a total of 3 points scored in the 1st half.
After seeing the other two games, I become a little worried in the game total. I am moving to the 1st half total
- 1st half under (this ones for you bid daddy)
- Tenn team under
- SD game (buying it down to 7), 1st half under parlay

I sure after I say this he will make be eat crow. But, I am happy that VY is starting. I have probably seen him play a dozen times between college and pro. I am comfortable saying that his big play passing always starts with the threat of him being able to run. He is NOT a drop back QB. Take into consideration that he will be much less than 100% and the field being a little slick, I don't see his legs as much of a threat. Now consider that Roydell and Scarfe are out. SD will have a lot of options for their defensive scheme adjustments. On top of that, White is hobbled by a sore knee as well. So, their top three best short yardage options are gone (Youngs legs, white and Scarfe on play action). I just can't see how Tenn. will be able to sustain drives. As long as SD does not give them a short field, they won't score much.
Because of all the above, I don't see SD taking any chances. Runs, Screen and short play action to Gates. If Tenn tries to put too many in the box, maybe a throw a few up for Chambers to keep the safeties honest. SD has to go into this game knowing that they just have to be patient, feed LT the ball and win the field position war.
Personally, I have loved SD all week since watching Tenn back into the playoffs as their offense had trouble moving the ball until Collins bailed them out against several of Indy subs. But, the under looks like an even smarter bet. Even smarter, the under on Tenn points. It is at 13 now.
5 units Tenn Under
3 units Under for game
1 unit parlay SD and under

I have to think the under would be the play. If I can get a line, I will play the Tenn team under. I am guessing it would be somewhere around 13.
