I don't think you can send someone to the minors to free up cap space anymore. I believe this is the Wade Redden rule. If you send them to the minors their cap hit now stays.

PPS. Call or no call the Canucks were still going nowhere this playoffs. Will look forward to major change this offseason...

A lot worse than Sedin's hit, by guys with reputations...The refs have been missing left, right, centre on everything and it's infuriating and inexcuseable... PS. Didn't think it was possible but nice to see 'Nuck haters looking at things somewhat objectively.

what is this gibberish??? Do u actually watch canucks games?? Crawford's goaltending was spectacular against vancouver...
How do u compare Marchand to Byfuglien?? Not even close...Marchand is doing exactly what Bolland did for Chicago. Then you talk about fake tough guys...to me fake tough guys are ones that close line and submarine other players. And who the fuck is Mcleod? Get ur facts straight buddy. BTW, Boston is tougher than the Canucks, but not because of Marchand's antics...

Stay out of the box. Boston has proven all year long that they can play 5on5 with almost anyone in the league, gut their PK isn't that great, and the PP well...we all know how awful that it is. Like it or not Boston has the ability to slow down the overall pace of any game. How do you think they've gotten this far against (in my opinion) better skating teams? Im not going to sit and here say they are the best defensive team in the league and I wont say they are best defensive team in the east, but they are deabtable, a top 6 or 7. And someone correct me if im wrong but didnt vancouver have the worst goals against in the league? Well without sounding like im rambling, I like Bostons chances at slowing down the overall game of the Canucks. I think this series will be similiar to the Nash/Van or Bos/TB/MON series'. I dont see either one sweeping the other, I think both goalies are strong enough to steal one game atleast. But having said all that, im of the mindset that I'll take a better offense over a good defense anyday. And Boston needs Ferrence to not make any stupid penalties which he has proven to do before in big games when he was on Calgary in '04. Canucks in 6 games Vancouver had the best goals against in the league.... Vancouver also had the best goals for in the league.... On paper vancouver is better than boston in all aspects of the game.. |

i'm not going to argue if u think that was shoulder to shoulder. watch the replay on youtube or something, at best the hit was to the back of the shoulder...not directly numbers but from behind nonetheless. What do u mean the bigger man won the hit...he was the only one doing the hitting...rome didn't even take one stride after he backhanded the puck away...

i'm not going to question most of the penalties the canucks took. My question is how can this 'tard point to hits like this as a reason the league is going turning into a pharce... how bout calls like burrows brushing the goalie when he should be considered a 'player' when he's playing the puck in the faceoff circle? Even lapierres 'roughing' call was a bs call...nice way to give the sharks an early advantage i'd say. but then again luongo should learn to close his legs...

It's a penalty cause it was a hit from behind...wat's so hard to understand?? If you don't think it was from behind then that's where we would agree to disagree...but hitting from behind is a penalty

This just in, the Canucks were called for 11 'penalties' and you have the nerve to question the most blatent hit from behind?? You're clearly blinded by your stupidity or your hate. Rome was playing that puck on the backhand all along yet mcginn still rammed him into the boards. If torres did that all u morons would be calling for his head.
I've seen your so called L-O-C-K-S...i know it would kill u and a lot of others inside if the canucks win it all...

Fuck....even if clepto meant more than 3 goals for the whole series you're still a piece of shit to call somebody out when your 'prediction' was as far off as possible.
ps. your boy kane is the biggest box as evidenced when hamhuis of all people wass trying to do his best clarkson/avery impersonation

I think the Canucks did enough on the back end to not have so many defensive meltdowns, but how will they face the pressure? They have shat down their legs the last two years, Chicago has no pressure whatsoever, they got handed a playoff spot. The hawks are not as talented, but if we see last yeas Luongo, this series could easily go to chitown. Not thrilled at all with this matchup as I have the Canucks @ 8-1 to win the cup. Still think Canucks squeak it out in 6 games, but one bad night from the boys and the series can flip in a second. Add in the Bettman and goal review factor, and the front office gives the edge to Chicago with any questionable calls . Fuck can we just beat the hawks for once. Flutie is right. Arguably the biggest canuck hater on this forum but at least he is capable of seeing how it really is. I hate how he generalizes a few homer fans to the whole fan base but from reading his posts I know he knows the game quite well. Look, the Canucks have all this pressure because this year they ARE the better team. to say they've shat down their legs the last 2 years would not be giving chicago respect. Yes, The last 2 years were very disappointing for the canucks but Chicago was the superior team... The fans just didn't want to give them that. This year SHOULD be a different story with a different outcome. No Bufylegen to get in Luongo's head, No Ladd to get in Keslers face, No Versteeg/Burrish to piss of Burrows, No Eager to run over whoever. yea, bolland's still around but if the Sedin's can't get over him well that's a different story...The Canucks now only need to focus on shutting down toews/kane/sharp. If hamhuis/bieksa can limit their opportunites, luongo actually make big saves, then i like their chances. This IS going to be a close series but I give the edge objectively to the Canucks because of their depth. Nonetheless, it's cup or bust for this team this year. I would almost rather have the hawks beat the nucks than have the nucks lose in the 2nd round again. I'm more afraid of a huge emotional letdown if the canucks get past the hawks...especially if it goes 6/7 games. The west goes to SJ or Vancouver this year...

You point to the history of success, or lack there of, of the Canucks in the playoffs, yet you yourself think the Sharks are going to win the cup. What have they done recently?? See where your reasoning is a little off? All I kow is that when post season comes around i'll be partying with the rest of the bandwagon fan's in Vancouver for however short or long the ride is. I couldn't give 2 shits about the past...why does luongo even bother playing the game then?? Why you so worried about 'nucks fans?? Shouldn't you be in Montreal fighting the power that almost got your boy killed? I'll admit I didn't watch the game on thursday but was quite pleased to hear 'big Z' was named 1st star. They absolutely shat all over your Hab's.
