There Is a lot I want to comment on in the thread, but the one thing that sticks out is this guy saying that brady will make his recievers good just like he did with Welker(an unbelievable slot and check down receiver) and Randy Moss(easily a top five wide out to ever play football). Brady did not make them what they are, both of thise guys are great with or without brady, welker is lighting it up in Denver and moss lit it up wherever he played. |

This line makes me think that oddsmakers want to make you lean towards the jets. I took buffalo to cover the spread last week, but I don't feel the same this week. This game is in new England for a season home opener. Why is new England, who had a terrible showing in buffalo laying almost two tds to another 1-0 division rival, it seems too good to be true. At first glance the easy choice is the jets. however,Tom Brady isn't happy with the way things went last week, and is going to come back strong. Vareen may not be in the game, but ridley is more than capable than what he showed last week, there is a reason he was named the starter. Amendola is also doubtful for this game, but the pats will find a way to get a group of talented and young wrs involved. Jets number one offense last week was geno being able to run the ball in big spots, that wont be so easy against the pats, they are going to force him to beat them with his arm and I don't know if he has what it takes yet. Im not willing to put my money on a guy who hasn't proven anything yet. Without an extremely stupid personal foul at the end of that game, I still don't think the jets take the win. Im not buying into the jets at all. I still think that they are a long way from being a contender with the big boys. The patriots are still the patriots and are better than what they showed last week. Ill be taking the pats, not gonna go too crazy with it though, its still the nfl and 12 points is still a large number, one tipped ball or bad fumble can cost you a cover, so be careful with this one. Goodluck to everyone with what they go with |

They may not have covered at home, however the defense blew a 10 point fourth quarter lead in that game, after that they went into new York and blew out the jets by 30. Also its hard to take a prediction seriously when you don't know how to spell the name of the guy you are backing, its Geno. Before you judge, hear me out.
Everyone is on Pitt this week as a double digit favorite at home tonight, however, the away has covered 50% of spreads on MNF, also double digit favorites this year are 6-7 ATS. Yea these numbers dont jump out at you when you first look at them, however i dont see the home field advantage factor as much as you would think for monday night home teams. Also, with the double digit dogs having a slight edge over the favorites, i still am not sold. Then i look at the weather. it is supposed to rain all game tonight, possibly taking away from ben and the passing attack. i see this game being just like last nights game where you you have a low scoring one td outcome. steelers have a better defense hands down. but if the weather can limit ben from the big throws down field to wallace, plus the decent rush D that the chiefs have, i think that chiefs can stay in this game. Final score: chiefs 10 pitt 17 Chiefs +12.5 this could easily go the other way but this is how i see it. Dont forget so far this week 2 double digit favorites, 2 games that could have gone either way, fitz through the pick on a terrible ball and st louis shot themselves in the foot on not one occasion, but 2 huge penalties. Best of luck to you either way you play it tonight. Happy veterans day, thanks to all those who serve and fight so that we can enjoy our beers, sport gambling, and even watch football on monday nights. "This buds for you"

I'm sorry I need to retract my comments on harvin, he had over 100 yds and 12 catches the 2 for 13 was rushing my bad. However I still need to point out that was against the colts whose secondary is questionable at best, and week 1 when AP went off was agianst the jags, arguably the worst team in football. I apologize for mixing the stars up but still crazy to say beast mode against those two teams. The niners d is better than both of those teams defensive stars combined

Ok if you are on minn and using any reason other then a trap bet or a let down game after 2 prime time games you are absurd. I think I even saw someone say harvin and AP are back in beast mode? What? Last week against the colts AP had 60 yes rushing and 3 yes receiving and harvin had just 2 catches for 13 yards, wow did they beast it. And that was against the colts. If that's the best they got than the niners should tear them apart. There may be a let down here, but I don't think it's from Alex smith for all you haters, did you forget that he should have brought them to the super bowl last year and the niners only had either 11 or 9 turnover total, I can't remember the exact number, and that includes fumbles from everyone else. Enough about old Alex smith, he has proved that he is solid and doesn't make the mistakes. This thread is crazy a lot of people just making rediculous statements.
If you think you have a let down or trap bet, just say that, don't come up with crazy untrue statements like Percy harvin is in BEAST MODE!!..... Wild

well i had a very slim winning week last week, however i have to eat alot of words on peyton manning and sketchy falcon D, but what are you gonna do.
today i may be getting caught in not 1 but 2 traps, however im sticking with the niners and the lions. If the niners can contain AP they should be able to walk through this game, he is the key to their offense and he is going against the best rush D is the league. Also the terrible, and i mean terrible secondary for minn should also let smith find davis and crabtree, look for them to have good days today. And then i expect the duo of stafford and megatron to finally get going. they are both better than what they have shown us so far and i see a big megatron day. Chris Johnson is the question mark in this game but i think the lions run D plug up the wholes and get the job done. Best of luck to everyone

I love the play. its kind of scary because the line should be greater than it is, i dont wanna get caught in a trap. Im taking the niners. Ponder isnt anything to write home about, and we all know how good AP is, but remember the niners gave up one rushing touchdown all reg season last year. If they can contain AP you should have no problem

I am a bills fan, yea sad but true, and even im telling you to start brady. you wont see as many points as last week, and as long as spiller is playing this way you feed him the ball all day.

Good luck sparty, love Denver tonight. I think their d will do more to stop ryan than atlantas will do to stop peyton

Monday night football is the falcons kryptonite and, your favorite word, manning is mike Nolan's. He is thief defensive coordinator and head coach. Manning is 7-1 against him. This game is going to come down to defense, and I'm taking the Denver d over atlantas any day. Peyton will have the ball more and Matt Ryan will be on his back. Big Ben, who can get out of almost anything got sacked five times last week. Give me some statistical reasons why you're taking someone if you are going to put "write up" in your forum name, not just some bs about on of the greatest and probably THE smartest football player of all time. You just made me more comfortable with my Denver pick than I already was.

I don't understand how you're going with this off of one game. A little early for me to have any of that mean anything, but best of luck to you

Did Peyton exploit and Clark and harrisonless defense last week, I think so, don't know what would make you think that atl, who has a worse defense than Pitt, will fare any better. But good luck to you
