5/31/2024: After another stifling defensive effort, the Florida Panthers are one win from the Cup Final — so naturally their leader, Aleksander Barkov, is the Conn Smythe favorite at around 5/1. The recently crowned Selke Trophy winner, Barkov hasn't scored a ton this series (just four points in five games, all of which came in two home contests) but has put on a masterclass during the ECF in his line completely dominating both of New York's scoring lines at even strength and holding the likes of Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, and Chris Kreider to just two even-strength points... combined.
5/30/2024: Three assists from Connor McDavid (+550) and a goal from Leon Draisaitl (+1,000) in last night's 5-2 victory has the Edmonton pairing shifting up the board, with McDavid back into the tight race with Igor Shesterkin (+500) and Jake Oettinger (+600).
5/29/2024: New York might have taken the L, but Igor Shesterkin remained in the No. 2 slot thanks to his 37-save effort. There's a good chance we something similar following tonight's game in Edmonton. Aleksander Barkov also eclipsed Connor McDavid for the third spot following the win by Florida.
5/28/2024: Another Dallas win has squeaked Jake Oettinger just in front of Igor Shesterkin on the Conn Smythe odds board. It looks like the books are expecting either netminder to win if their team can capture the Stanley Cup.
5/27/2024: Igor Shesterkin and the New York Rangers took a 2-1 lead over the Panthers on Sunday, bumping the netminder back into the No. 1 spot on the Conn Smythe odds board. McDavid also fell into the third spot while Jake Oettinger slid up to No. 2. Despite New York having the series lead, Vincent Trochek is the only Rangers' skater in the Top 10. 
5/26/2024: Connor McDavid remains in a share of the top spot at +550 despite losing Game 2 last night but Stars netminder Jake Oettinger has joined him after stopping 28 of 29 shots in the win. 
5/25/2024: McDavid remains the man to beat and is favored across the market, but Igor Shesterkin's 26-save win last night has moved his odds back into the Top 3. The remainder of the board stood firm, although Carter Verhaeghe's odds lengthened considerably following Florida's loss.
5/24/2024: Connor McDavid has crept back to the top of the Conn Smythe board after scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime vs. the Dallas Stars. If the Edmonton Oilers advance to the Stanley Cup Final, McDavid will be the obvious player to beat in this market. Out east, Matthew Tkachuk had two points in Game 1 as the Panthers took an early lead on the Rangers, but he's still looking up at Aleksander Barkov.
5/23/2024: Aleksander Barkov (+600) and Matthew Tkachuk (+700) are both shifting up the board after Florida's Game 1 victory against the Rangers, with Tkachuk logging a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win. As such, Rangers netminder Igor Shesterkin has fallen from second to sixth with odds in the 10/1 range. Jake Oettinger remains the top choice ahead of Oilers-Stars Game 1 tonight.
5/21/2024: Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers survived the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 and the captain is now the betting favorite alongside Jake Oettinger at some books while narrowly trailing him at others. New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is also in the mix as he gets ready to take on the Florida Panthers in the East Final.
5/19/2024: Connor McDavid is the biggest mover coming out of Oilers-Canucks Game 6, logging three assists in a dominant victory to force a Game 7 back in Vancouver. The move bumped him back into the Top 5 and to as short as +900. 
5/18/2024: Jake Oettinger turned back 29 shots en route to a 2-1 double-overtime win in Game 6 as the Dallas Stars eliminated the Colorado Avalanche. The No. 1 goalie on the No. 1 team in the Stanley Cup odds is a logical Conn Smythe favorite now. The Florida Panthers are favored to beat the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals, but if the Blueshirts pull off the minor upset, Igor Shesterkin is likely to be the main reason why. If you like the Cats to advance though, Aleksander Barkov is probably your safe Conn Smythe pick as third-choice in the wagering.
5/17/2024: With the New York Rangers being the first team to punch their ticket to the next round, unofficial second-round series MVP Igor Shesterkin has taken over as the consensus Conn Smythe betting favorite. However, second-choice Jake Oettinger and third-choice Aleksander Barkov are in action tonight and will likely see their odds drop a point or two if their respective teams can clinch.
5/16/2024: Jake Oettinger and the Dallas Stars failed to send the Colorado Avalanche packing on Wednesday, otherwise his odds might be a fair bit shorter this morning. And he wasn't his sharpest self, allowing five goals on 27 shots. As it stands, with all four conference semi-final matches still ongoing, Oettinger, Igor Shesterkin, and Connor McDavid are all vying for the top spot. Shesterkin's New York Rangers can punch their ticket to the East Finals with a win tonight, while McDavid & Co. can re-take momentum if they topple the Vancouver Canucks.
5/15/2024: Jake Oettinger remains in prime position to become just the second netminder in 10 years to win the Conn Smythe. If he can piece together another masterclass tonight and eliminate the Avalanche, one can only assume his odds will shorten mightily. The same can also be said for Igor Shesterkin, who will try for a third time to oust the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow.
5/14/2024: Only one goalie has won the Conn Smythe trophy in the past decade, but a pair of netminders are duking it out atop the board now as Jake Oettinger and Igor Shesterkin are drawing the shortest odds. The Dallas Stars are more heavily favored in the Stanley Cup odds after Oettinger held the Colorado Avalanche in check once again on Monday as the New York Rangers stumbled vs. the Carolina Hurricanes, though.
5/13/2024: Connor McDavid has slipped out of the top spot following Edmonton's 4-3 loss, and top honors are now held by Igor Shesterkin once again. He'll have a massive chance to shorten his odds even further if the Rangers can put Carolina to bed tonight. Aleksander Barkov now holds the No. 2 spot with Florida one win away from back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals.
5/12/2024: While the Top 2 of Igor Shersterkin and Connor McDavid remain unchanged, Jake Oettinger has made his move into the third spot after holding the Avs to just one goal on 29 shots (.966 SV%) in a huge Game 3 road victory. 
5/11/2024: Igor Shesterkin remains the betting favorite to win the Conn Smythe, but the odds have tightened a bit after the Edmonton Oilers won Game 2 of their second-round series vs. the Vancouver Canucks. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both had four-point efforts in the OT victory. Still, the Florida Panthers are the overall favorites to win the Stanley Cup and none of their players are drawing odds shorter than 10/1.
5/10/2024: Another game, another huge move in the Igor Shesterkin odds. Two nights after a heroic 54-save performance, Shesterkin turned the Hurricanes back 45 times in a 3-2 overtime win. The Rangers have a commanding 3-0 second-round series lead, which has also helped Shesterkin leap into the favorite's role to win the Conn Smythe. Meanwhile, there was movement out West as Jake Oettinger and Wyatt Johnston dropped multiple points while Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar rose a few points each as the Stars beat the Avalanche in Game 2. 
5/9/2024: Following Igor Shesterkin's massive jump after Tuesday's 54-save performance, the board has mostly settled. Aleksander Barkov is the biggest mover after Wednesday's action. The Panthers center potted two goals in a 6-1 win — helping the Panthers draw even with the Bruins before the series heads back to Boston — and moved into the Top 5 with odds ranging from 16/1 to 30/1.
5/8/2024: Igor Shesterkin's 54-save performance shortened his odds heavily across the board, but no one shortened him more than DraftKings, who now has New York netminder at +800 (+1,700 yesterday) and second only to Connor McDavid. Natha MacKinnon also hopped back into the Top 3 with a two-point effort against Dallas in Game 1. Nate now has 11 points in 6 playoff games. All eyes now shift to McDavid tonight.
5/7/2024: Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman already improved his stock by shutting down the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 of Round 1. Now, he's drawing the second shortest odds at some books after he stopped 38 of 39 shots in Monday's 5-1 Game 1 win over the Florida Panthers. With the Stanley Cup odds so tight from top to bottom, the Conn Smythe is a volatile betting market as every team is conceivably still in the running to go all the way. Swayman could be this year's "hot goalie" archetype, which would go a long way toward him being honored when the smoke clears in June.
5/6/2024: The Dallas Stars advanced past the Vegas Golden Knights and young center Wyatt Johnston is the lone representative near the top of the board. A lot of this can be attributed to Dallas' balanced attack and relative lack of star power. Goaltender Jake Oettinger and forward Jason Robertson are close and might find helium if the Stars can play well vs. the Colorado Avalanche. After losing Game 1 to the New York Rangers, several Carolina Hurricanes players have fallen off the top of the board, with only Jake Guentzel among the betting favorites at most books. Goaltender Frederik Andersen is the closest, with odds in the +2,000 to +2,500 range.
5/5/2024: The Toronto Maple Leafs are gone and Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman is now among the favorites to win the Conn Smythe after a sparkling performance in a tense Game 7. Connor McDavid is still the overall favorite ahead of the Edmonton Oilers' second-round matchup against the Vancouver Canucks. Even though Round 2 gets underway on Sunday, we still have one more Round 1 series remaining as the Dallas Stars clash with the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday night. However, none of the players on either team are factoring into the most heavily favored. Dallas' Wyatt Johnston (+3,000) has the shortest odds between the clubs.
5/4/2024: Very little movement has happened over the last 24 hours. There are still no Canucks players in the Top 10 despite their Round 1 win, and we won't see any Boston or Toronto players until their series closes tonight. As for McDavid, he's still sitting pretty up top.
5/3/2024: Betting action continues to favor players who have already made it to the second round. Even though the Canucks and Stars control their destinies with 3-2 series leads heading into Game 6, you won't find anyone on their rosters in the Top 10 of the Conn Smythe betting. Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman fell out of the Top 10 as the Maple Leafs forced Game 7. 
5/2/2024: Connor McDavid dropped no less than a half-point across the board as the Oilers eliminated the Kings in five games to get to the second round. There was little movement elsewhere following Wednesday's action, as no Stars or Golden Knights players rank in the Top 10 in Conn Smythe betting, and that series is very much still in doubt with Dallas leading 3-2 heading to Vegas.
5/1/2024:Nathan MacKinnon's odds didn't move as much as I had expected following the Avalanche's Round 1 win, but he still remains in the Top 3. The biggest move was bet365, where he shortened from +1,400 to +1,200. Three Hurricanes also stand in the Top 10 following their Game 5 win over New York — but McDavid still paces the pack entering tonight's game against Los Angeles.
4/30/2024: With the Florida Panthers reaching the second round, two key players are listed among the favorites to win the Conn Smythe, though they're both a fair bit behind Connor McDavid. Matthew Tkachuk finished the opening series vs. Tampa with nine points, which ranks tied for second in the NHL playoffs behind only, you guessed it, McDavid. But the person he's tied with is a notch below at most books. Florida teammate Carter Verhaeghe tallied five goals and four assists while owning the best plus/minus in Round 1. He's available as long as +3,000 at FanDuel. But a goaltender can steal the show and if the Panthers go all the way, Sergei Bobrovsky will be a key component to their success. 
4/29/2024: Connor McDavid moved right back to +650 at DraftKings following an assist in the Oilers' 1-0 win over the Kings in Game 4. McDavid leads all skaters with 10 points in four games, although half of that is from a five-assist performance in Game 1. MacKinnon stayed put at No. 2 following the Avs' win on Sunday, although Cale Makar jumped to +1,600 thanks to his two points in the win.
4/27/2024: Nathan MacKinnon (+1,400) fell by as many as six points in the Conn Smythe betting following a goal and an assist in a 6-2 thrashing of the Winnipeg Jets in Game 3 on Friday night. The Colorado Avalanche superstar has found the scoresheet in all three playoff games thus far. We would be remiss if we neglected to mention the latest exploits of the Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid (+750), who fell about a point across the board after potting his first goal of the series vs. the Kings in Game 3, as well as his seventh and eighth assist. 
4/26/2024: Frederik Andersen (+1,500) seems to be putting to rest any questions about his conditioning after a truncated 2023-24 regular season, stopping 71 of 77 pucks aimed his way and recording the win in all three games vs. the Islanders thus far. The Hurricanes look poised for a long postseason run, and their No. 1 netminder should keep shortening up in this market so long as he stays healthy.
4/25/2024: Aside from Connor McDavid (+800) recording an assist in Edmonton's Game 2 loss, the only other guy on the board to make an impact last night was David Pastrnak (+2,000), who logged an assist of his own in Boston's 4-2 victory.
4/24/2024: Four games went on Tuesday, and no one was able to replicate the pure insanity that was McDavid's five-assist night. Sergei Bobrovsky's performance saw his odds move slightly from +1,800 to the 1,500 range, but as of now not a soul is close to McJesus on the odds board. The Oilers megastar will have a chance to build upon his point total in Game 2 tonight.
4/23/2024: The Edmonton Oilers didn't start their postseason journey until Monday night, but the extended layoff didn't result in any rust. Connor McDavid tallied five assists in the 7-4 win over the Los Angeles Kings, showing how insane he is as a playmaker. Goals will likely follow, but McDavid's brand of unselfish play is ultimately a net positive and he's the betting favorite to win the Conn Smythe because of it. However, the Carolina Hurricanes are the overall favorites in the Stanley Cup odds and feature several players near the top of the odds board. Sebastian Aho (still listed as long as 20/1) scored a goal and added a helper in Monday's 5-3 win over the Isles, including the game-tying mark in the third period.
4/21/2024: Only a couple of notable favorites saw opening-round action on Saturday. Frederik Andersen's odds (+1,400) are seeing a bit of early movement after stopping 33 of 34 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Isles. Meanwhile, David Pastrnak (also 14/1) assisted an empty-netter to help the Bruins put away the Leafs in Boston.
4/20/2024: It's not surprising to see stars like Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon at the top of the board, even if their respective teams aren't favored to hoist Lord Stanley's Cup. The Carolina Hurricanes are the Stanley Cup odds favorites, and that's part of the reason why they're got three players in the Conn Smythe odds Top 10. Sebastian Aho has been their best player for years, but the currently storylines surrounding Frederik Andersen (hot goalie coming back mid-season) and Jake Guentzel (prize trade deadline acquisition) are making them intriguing plays too.
4/18/2024: Conn Smythe odds have arrived, and there are currently some very familiar faces atop the board. McDavid and MacKinnon are one and two across the market, respectfully, while Cale Makar is the only defenseman on the list. Conn Smythe odds are susceptible to rapid change so McDavid may not be on top long, but for right now it's his to lose.
