The destination of the Premier League trophy will be decided on Sunday, May 19 with Arsenal vs. Everton, one of the day’s key games. Arsenal will be hoping that Man City drop points, meaning that a victory here would hand them the title.
With Everton having nothing to play for, can anything stop the Gunners in our EPL predictions? Don’t miss our Arsenal vs Everton picks below.
EPL predictions for Arsenal vs Everton
My best bet:
Arsenal -2.5 (+116 at TonyBet)
My analysis
Let’s get it straight, this may be Arsenal vs Everton but the two teams who really matter in this fixture are Arsenal, and Man City, who play West Ham. Man City are two points clear of Arsenal in the Premier League and have one hand on the title but should they fail to beat West Ham then an Arsenal win would send the title to North London.
The Premier League have two versions of the trophy, with one at each stadium, to cover all eventualities but Arsenal need to do their bit first before they start worrying about Man City. That’s the state of play as we head into this game and Everton, on paper, shouldn’t be easy to beat, given they’ve won four of their past five. That said a look into those games shows that besides a win over Liverpool, the other four games have all been against teams in the bottom five of the table, which explains why they’ve performed so well.
Arsenal are a step above the likes of Nottingham Forest and Brentford and come into this having dropped points just twice in their past 17 Premier League games. Any other season they’d be champions already but Man City have been unwavering in their pursuit of the title.
The Gunners have a great record against Everton at the Emirates, winning nine of their last 10 meetings, and more crucially in the past few weeks, they’ve dominated teams. They’ve started games quick and have been winning at both halftime and full-time in each of their five outings.
We have to remember that Everton have nothing to play for here, while Arsenal have it all to play for. They are the second-highest-scoring team in the Premier League, have the best defensive record in the league, and now face a must-win game against the Premier League’s second-lowest scorers. This is a match they should win by a number of goals and they’re likely to sign off with a big win in front of their home crowd, although it’s likely to be too little to capture the Premier League title from Man City.

Arsenal vs Everton same-game parlay (SGP)
In addition to our best bet, we’re also backing Arsenal to keep a clean sheet. Arsenal have kept four clean sheets in their past five games and come into this game with the best defensive records in the Premier League, with just 28 goals conceded in 37 games. On the flip side of that, Everton have the second-worst scoring record in the Premier League with just 39 goals in 37 games.
We’ll also back Bukayo Saka to either score a goal or set one up. He’s had another big season, scoring 16 and assisting a further nine. Not to mention two goals and an assist in his previous four games. Against a poor Everton team, and in need of a win, he’s the man most likely to contribute towards a goal for the Gunners.
