Yeah, some of the missed shots by Syracuse look tired. They sure made some history this weekend though.

Well Louisville is looking pretty strong right now!

I must say that Syracuse was pretty impressive and Louisville missed a boat load of 3 pointers. I have Louisville -7 and while I have not lost right yet I would like a nice little buy out figure as this looks like trouble as Syracuse appears to be inspired and wanting it more than Louisville. Let's see what happens the second half.

Louisville looking pretty good but it is way too early to tell. The second half should be interesting to see how much Syracuse has left. Even without the stress of their last three games Louisville is deeper and should wear them down.

Better defense, rested and when is the last time someone talked about the best offense winning a Super Bowl. Arizona has surprised me I must admit, but I also had them against Atlanta. I was on the wrong side against Carolina. That might have been my worse pick of the year as that game was over just after it started. I had Pitt against Baltimore and San Diego and believe they will close the deal here. They have played a much tougher schedule AND still have a significantly better record. Before the playoffs begas, Arizona only one ONE game against a playoff team....Miami very early in the year. All the best to everyone here and some of us will be happy late Sunday night. I will be in Tampa but not sure if I will pay to see this game live. |

Well I jumped ship and went with Arizona +9.5 and then took an over 24.5 in case Carolina comes back.

What in the world is the 2nd half line going to be. They will make Carolina favorites but by how much????

Well congrats on the win but I don't think you give Florida enough credit on the defensive side of the ball. I would pick them again. If you would have taken the 2nd half line on Oklahoma that would have been a loser. |

Hey guys, just got back from dinner, whatching the first half at a sports bar. Got the under thank God and also a bigger play on Florida which concerns me greatly right now. Us Florida backers have to be delighted with those two goal line stands. Hope we show some offense in the second half. All the best to everyone as this officially closed college football, See some of you on the NFL threads.

Just heard on the news that Westbrook has not practiced this week. Nursing a sore and swollen knee. Will take anti inflams and pain killers to play.

You think Hixon can fill those shoes? Or Ward running all game? I'm just saying there's a lot of veteran playoff experience missing from the Giants this year - and if you don't think that accounts for anything, then how did underdog veteran Kurt Warner do against a rookie QB last week? Now watch - Philly's gonna get blown out & some New York native will repost this on my next thread next week - HA!!!!!!!!!!! Now that makes a lot more sense. I still am going with the gmen due to reasons in my original post. One of is right ...we just wish we knew if it is you or me before the game starts so we could make some huge cash. Since I am staying with my pick and you with yours, we will see after the game. The bad thing for me is I agreed to play in a golf tournament about 4 months ago this coming weekend without thinking about the playoffs, so I am going to miss seeing what should be a great game between the tired, road weary, end of the road Eagles and the rested, motivated, playing at home, Super Bowl Champions Gmen. HA, HA.. best of luck to you. |

Boludojones. man you are going way back to the start of the year with a lot of these guys. I thought maybe you had some insight to something I hadn't heard yet. Jacobs is the key guy on that list as he is the engine in my mind to their offense. While he is on the injured list I think it is highly unlikely that he won't play. At any rate, thanks for taking the time to reply. All the best to you and I am still going with the gmen, but I must admit it is not my strongest play of the weekend.

That being said - these 2 teams almost always play each other hard and usually every game comes down to the wire. But, even with that considered (and the extra time off that the Giants had) the Giants aren't the same Superbowl charging team they were last year, or even the first half of this year. Look at how many key guys are going to be out, or banged up for this game...... I think this game come down to a field goal try - and +4 covers me either way - - Eagles +4 = Agree with a lot of what you say but will you shed some light on the part I highlighted.

I'm definitely not on the Cards "bandwagon", but I still think 10 points is too much....... Thanks but I didn't miss it. Although it did slow me down on my pick until I looked at more history. Wouldn't it be nice if you could handicap all games based on what happened last time? Wow would we all make a ton of money. One of the things I have learned is seldom does lightning strike twice. Heck in many games one teams kills the other in the first half and then the second half is totally opposite, (makes it hard to pick half time lines correctly doesn't it???) ...not to mention how many times one team beats another and then the next time they play you have an entirely different result. The point is there is a trend here.... and MAYBE THIS IS WHAT YOU MISSED ...Carolina has beaten many teams AT HOME by more than 10 AND Arizona has lost to several by more than 10 on the road, 3 x by non- playoff teams no less. That said I hate laying double digits and will most likely buy a point to get it to 9, but that is my pick. |

I have to go with Pittsburgh here and the only thing that really scares me is the health of the QB although he says he is OK and ready to go.
Here is some data:
SD is 0-5 regular season playing playoff teams losing to Carolina, Miami, Pittsburgh, Indy and Atlanta. Yes they are hot winning their last 4 regular season and they won me some money in the first playoff game. But the last 4 wins of the season came against ALL non playoff teams; Oakland, Kansas City by a whopping 1 point victory, Tampa Bay who was in the worst slump of its season and Denver. Look what they did right before those 4 wins, lost three in a row to playoff teams: Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Indy.
Also, given the fact they have to go cross country and play against a strong home team, who have an extra week to prepare and get healthy....
In their favor is that they have got one of the best punters is football and he may get to show his skills several times. But they are not all that healthy and have a question mark with LT for this game which puts a lot of action and pressure against the smallest back in football ... although I love that guy!
Pittsburgh on the other hand is 3-4 against playoff teams versus SD 0-5. They beat the Ravens twice and SD once. They lost to Philly in a close game at Philly, lost b a TD to the gmen, lost by 4 to Indy and got globbered by TN although that game was pretty close until the end.
Pittsburgh has Hines Ward, great defense and they have the benefit of extra rest and preperation. And they are 6-1 in their last 7 games so they are hot. I am just a bit concerned about the health of Ben but will pull the trigger on Pittsburgh unless I hear something negative on the QB's health.

More data... Last 4 meetings the gmen are 3-1, winning 16-3, 16-13, 36-31 and lost 14-20. Hmmmm, I see a trend here, under and gmen.
Well history does not always repeat itself, but I like the home field when the point spread is low. My play is on the defending Super Bowl champions laying 4 points. I may by a point as I believe this could be a very close game. Most likely will take the under. Never know about the weather in NY, maybe a Noreastern will move in.
