moved poker room further down from where they had the lions. The lions are out. It is just a cleared out area for poker but they must be planning on sprucing it up.

Just stayed there and you won't notice any construction. It's so big they will put on a floor that you won't ever see any hints of it. sportsbook is good but gets crowded early on any weekend day. They have moved poker room but used to be good. Good location for nyny, excalibur, luxor, and mandalay bay. I used bus system for the first time ever in vegas and it was great. Get a 3 day pass and take it when you get tired of walkign strip. I like dealers and feel in mgm casino. Food- They have either very expensive or fast food, there are more good middle of the road restaurants and other hotels. mgm is mammoth and a little overwhelming at first but you will get used to it. Lay out is simple.

you have to decide what type of Vegas trip you want. I go once a year now but used to go twice a year in my 20's. I would do stuff unique to Vegas, you can go to a topless bar anywhere so I wouldn't waste my time. However you can go to a club anywhere but the clubs in Vegas are spectacular and just a different vibe. You can see a comedy show anywhere but spend the extra money on a big star you want to see that may only do Vegas. I am a "strip snob" now, but when I was really into gambling I went to the station casinos around town where more locals go and much better odds. The odds have become increasingly worse on the stip to the point I barely gamble anymore other than a few hours. Beware the tables offering hand dealt black jack. They pay 6 to 5 odds on a black jack which is player unfriendly it will kill you even just in 2-3 hours of play. breakfast buffet paris hotel-excellent crepes, fresh fruit, pastry sportsbook casaers palace-best vibe for big event poker mirage-best for newcomers, great staff club-Pure Ceasars Palace casino MGM numerous tables, good dealers, backup-Hard Rock for music and feel. lunch/dinner-Pink Taco Hard Rock hotel/casino great margaritas, original/californian food. best pool-Mandalay bay/Hard rock Don't pressure the trip, decide what type of trip and focus on those activites.

I'm new to enjoying NHL and never played fantasy hockey before. If anyone does I have a stupid question-
How do game limits work in a rotisserie fantasy hockey league? It sets a limit for positions games. Does that mean for individual players? |

I know this is a betting site so blast me or ignore either way but if you think the unbalanced schedule is for crap what if they did something like the following- You can disagree with divisions but I think it makes some natural rivalries play every year and lets every team face another within 3 years. Plan-6 5 team divisions. Play each team in your division 18 times, play 10 other teams in your league 6 times each, play one division per year in other league 6 times. The math-18x4=72, within league=60, interleague=30 matching the 162 game season. Division winners make playoff with best non-division winner in each league being wild card. Best record determines home field for each round including world series. Forget the all star game winner. DH is league wide, I'm a baseball purist but I'm done thinking the DH will ever go away, let's accept it and make it consistent. AL East-Boston, Yanks, Mets, Phillies, Blue Jays(strong) AL Central-Cleveland, Reds, Tigers, Brewers, Twins AL West-Angels, Dodgers, A's, Padres, Giants(all cali division) NL East-Braves, Orioles, Marlins, Rays, Nationals(southeast) NL Central-Cubs, White Sox, Royals, Cardinals, Pirates(good rivalries would meet more than once a a year) didn't know where to put pirates) NL West-Arizona, Rockies, Astros, Rangers, Mariners(toughest one to figure out, like the texas rivalry, other teams just seem to match) Again fans from each city would see teams once every 3 years. Majority of games would be against division opponents making it a priority on those games. Good rivalries playing each other often. I struggled placing some of the teams but I know it is better than the crap schedule they have now.

I like this subject because it gets discussion going. One thing for sure ignorant Tea Partiers and television rebublican evangelists(Beck) throw socialism out as a bad word knowing their audience has no idea what it means. Until our country starts to talk in facts and understands it's not simple, it's not all one side is right the other wrong, it's not government is great or government is horrible. There are complicated issues and its funny how we criticize Washington in a democracy. Shouldn't we be looking in the mirror. Every single modern country as some form of socialism, to call it a socialist country or not really just depends on the amount involved. Social Security, Medicare, you can go down the line they are all in fact "socialist" programs.
Once we get over the fear of that word and understand now we can discuss how socialist we want to be. That is the real issue. The other real issue is it is very easy to say cut taxes, balance the budget, but when we start talking about killing very expensive, inefficent programs like NASA the same Tea Party supporters freak out. You can't have everything. I grew up a Reagan republican and he would roll in his grave if he saw how the last Republican adminstration was run financially. I'm not for tax cuts, I'm for a full overhaul of our tax system making it simple and fair. But along with that there are going to be serious and painful budget cuts up to and including our exorbatant military budget. It is a drain on our economy and we can have a fully effective military and much less of the cost. The waste there is enormous. When we want to stop pointing fingers and start discussing real issues I will get involved again. Until then I laugh at both sides of this ridiculous battle our country is and has been involved in the last 15-20 years.

Which teams ranked 5 - 8 have the best shot to make a big splash this year?
in NHL Betting Boston is the best value. I know there are always upsets in NHL playoffs and no doubt a couple more will happen but the other series seem like playing roulette. The Boston/Buffalo series seems 50/50 to me and getting +145 or so seems like a good bet. I've seen some people pick Buffalo as a good longshot to win cup but I don't think they are that strong. They seem inconsistent to me. Sometimes teams that failed as a very high see come back as lower see and make more noise. I see that in Boston. |

I agree with write up on sports books but probably rate MGM a little higher. It is good on a lively football weekend and they cover a lot of sports. Also poker room is right behind it so you can go play a tournament for a couple of hours. In general though I feel Vegas has totally lost a lot of what it was 10-15 years ago. I have been going at least once and many years 2-3 times since 1995. I just got back and I think I'm done. Not cause I got my ass kicked, in fact I got so bored with gambling there that I didn't spend $700 of my budget which never happens. All these people suckered into hand dealt black jack ripoff at paying 6-5 on black jacks. Free drinks, what a joke. Can't get any waitresses anymore so I just go buy them at the nearest bar for huge prices. I'm not some newby who expects to win when I go. I bet on sports and play poker when I want to make money. When I play table games I expect to lose and I'm ok with it. It's part of my entertainment dollar. All I expect is some decent dealers, free drinks, some music and fun crowd to play with. None of that happened. Dealers are big time cynical and scared for their jobs now and they deserve to be. These casinos are treating them like crap. Many layoffs and I saw a pit boss not give a dealer is standard break after he had been at that table for 90 minutes. Pitiful!!!! Crowd at Vegas is different. Way more kids than should ever be there, way too many people that don't understand gambling at all. I always expect some of that but no gamblers around anymore. All casinos oriented to the Asian customer. Its a business and it's their business so I hope that works for them. They are losing the middle class US customer and they can count me as part of their losses. I used to think Vegas would be around forever and always come back from down turns, in fact I planned on moving there when my daughter went to college. Now I know I won't and am not sure if they will truly recover. I sound like one of the old Vegas guys now missing the Stardust and the mob but that's how I feel. Never thought I would.

1-MGM sportsbook for a big event or any football weekend. Cheap Beer, lively atmosphere. 2-Steak Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi and watch strip action plus Bellagio water fountains at same time. Not huge prices like other steak joints. 3-Play poker at Hard Rock. Relatively new poker room. Lots of young easy money and good music at the same time. Not crowded yet, I expect summertime will be different. |

New to NBA betting and I'm sure this has been covered over and over but does anyone have data on frequency of margins in NBA? This leads me to key numbers which is a big part of my football handicapping. Any info would be appreciated.
