Realize that everybody is scared of it. Just trying to figure out what it is.
I don't know what it is either but not sure that be scared of it. Sounds kinda cool actually. Kind of like an underground club or something.

Not baiting, not ridiculing, not assaulting, not doing anything.
Actually just trying to figure out what it freaking is. Nobody seems to know.
Been doing some googling.....

Let's do a Culture Quiz.....
Who is Karl Marx?
A) An Evil Dragon
B) The Hairy Guy from the Love Boat
B) A philosopher who said Capitalism would not work. Because it would ultimately create class struggles.

Googling all this now..... pretty interesting. Copied this from some chick living in a Communistic place (she didn't say which one)....
----------------------------------------------------------
I was born and raised in a communist country, let me see if I can put the good and bad together. Life was not easy in those days.
Bad:
1. Absolute control. You have no rights. No freedom of speech, no freedom to travel, no possibility to build you own business.
2. As an individual you belong to the government, and the president could do what ever he wants with you.
3. Can't sue for any reason, even if they chopped you in half by mistake.
4. No food chains or mega stores whatsoever, and no contact with the outside world.
5. TV (5 hours program, 1 channel only, 10 minutes cartoons) and Radio heavily censored.
6. Movies, newspapers, books censored, nothing that could show what the life is like over the borders. No bunny magazines.
7. Cold homes. Buddings were place on quota of gas and electricity. Midnight to six AM, noon to six PM without.
8. No AC, dishwashers, dryers, laundromats. Mostly everyone washed by hand, washers were an investment... expensive.
9.. Food on rations. 1l oil, 1 kg meat, 30 eggs, 1 kg sugar and so on per month. Oranges and bananas only for Christmas if you were lucky.
10. No machinery to work the land with. The state had, but individuals were still plowing with horse team.
Good:
1. Every child vaccinated, school was mandatory. Free medical care.
2. If high school was the maximum then a professional course was mandatory. Free education.
3. College was per number of occupants only, and admission by exam. You didn't made it, try next year again. That was also free.
4. Jobs, every person had to have a job. There was not fuss about qualification, you could sweep the street with the doctor diploma in your pocket, but it was an honest work.
5. Pay was fair, and most people could save good money over the years.
6. People got married and they stayed married. The family institution was a serious task.
7. Bought a car? you better take care of it, it would be the only car in your life. Same for the furniture and clothes. Most people had second generation furniture. Of course not made of plywood. Everything got repaired by you or friends and family members.
8. People walked all day long, carry groceries by hand and got up and down the stairs 5-6 times a day. They were in shape.
9. People were polite, good hearted and helped one another.
10 Fashion was fashion, clothes were well made, with style and made a person feel glamorous, so were the shoes. Every person was well dress, no flip flops and or sweat pants out the house.

Here's some chatter from some type of international blog discussing standard of livings. Pretty interesting. Wasn't aware that our Health Care was ranked #39 in the world and pretty much last in industrialized countries.

Socialism is a system that advocates government ownership of means of production and allocation of resources. For examples, military, schools, nuclear energy and old age pension. Modern society needs both capitalism and socialism. What political leaders actually do is the key because any system can succeed or fail.

I think I can help.
Socialism is a failed ideology normally espoused by one of three different types of people.
1.) The weak. Unable to compete these folks yearn for a "level playing field" where the strong will be reduced to their level and we can all share. Many in this category work for their parents, live in large metro areas and often spend time in sanatariums after being told "lets be friends" so often by the opposite sex that they begin to mistake this phrase for their given name. Normally given everything in life (even their real estate "job") they have no concept of hard work, personal responsibility, or the value of money earned.
2.) The ignorant. Not stupid mind you but dim enough to recognize their own intellectual short comings. These individuals think that by parroting people they think are smart they too will be percieved as bright. The major problem here is obvious. When a dim-wit picks someone to model themselves after, they still use their inferior intellect to make these choices. (....if I repeat Olberman or Mahr I will seem as smart as them...) These folks often end up practicing law. They envy the success of others. They often mis-identify this success as luck and their speech will be riddled with references to the "fortunate" (translated in reality = hard working producers) vs "unfortunate" (translated in reality = lazy leeches).
3.) The evil and insidious. These folks are quite simply power hungry socio-paths. They seek to exploit the weak and the ignorant and become their "leaders". They portray themselves as the voice of the "little-guy" and the members of 1.) and 2.) are more than happy to be led by them.
I hope this clears it up for you.
