No Byfuglien for the Hawks. No Eager, No Ladd, No Madden, No Sopel, No Versteeg.
Enter in Ballard, Torres, Hamhuis for the Canucks. The blackhawks won the title last year because they had amazing depth and a whole mess of talent up front and on the blue line. They beat the canucks because Dustin Byfuglien was the best player on the ice. This year the canucks have the deeper team, forwards and defensemen. I don't think its even debatable. The canucks also lost last year because they couldnt kill penalties or stop momentum with blue line play. Luongo might have crumbled under pressure, but its real easy to do that when nobody is on top of their man. Surely, Dallas would have been a much easier opponent, because as we saw today, and as we've seen in the past few weeks (ask san jose) they crumble when shown quality in a pressure spot. That being said... DONT GET IT TWISTED. 1st in Goals. 1st in Goals Allowed. 1st in Powerplay. 2nd in Penalty Kill. Best Home Record, Best Road Record. This is NOT last year's Canucks. That team didn't have the defensive cohesion as this one does. Luongo can be the best goalie in the world, Kesler was MVP for two months, Henrik and Daniel aren't gonna be shut down by anyone wearing red this week. If you think that the blackhawks are going to make a deep run in the playoffs, and they're going to start in by beating the best team in the nhl since january, you haven't been watching. Canucks in 6.... and the city will become a bulls town for a month. |

Chicago's the 2 seed in the NFC, smoked them too. Beat Baltimore, Green Bay (ok minus Rodgers). I'm sorry they didn't play Atlanta but who else would you have like them to play? yo my man....ny giants beat the final 4 in 2008. bal, pit, ari, phi....and they got blasted in the playoffs. you could say that it was because of Mr. Shoot the leg Burress, but still...he didnt play in the carolina game.. teams can be dominant and then lose their edge and get bounced. i believe ill take the jets and the points. and i hate them. |

i cant listen to this clown depeche.
for one, i dont know if he knows this, but the lakers routinely destroyed utah with their length when boozer was on the team...i dont know if LO got shorter in the past couple years, but that doesnt make sense. And I really cant take someone seriously when they cant spell a 15 year vet's last name correctly. this aint a chess movie, kid. FISHER. |

also completely disagree about the raiders. if you gave that team a decent, non-drugged-quarterback, they could have won week 1 (lost by 4), week 8 (lost by 8), week 10 (lost by 6)...Jamarcus averaged about 100 yards per start last year. he was 100% pathetic and deserves to go to arena football as a o lineman. Cambell can actually see his receivers. that defense is poised to carry them to 7 or 8 wins.
