I will take my chances needing 1 run over needing 2 runs any day..i will also take any ROAD team +1.5 in extra innings any day...just like I will take the worst NFL team +3.5 in overtime against the best team any day(old overtime rules of course)...Have a good day Van..I will check back in with you after the booze wears off...Are you on any other sites?

What are the odds of scoring at least one run in the bottom of the eights being one run up? 2. What are the odds of scoring at least 2 runs in the bottom of the eights, or a walkoff 2+ HR in the 9th or extras? Once you have 1 and 2, you have your answer. I would say they are very close. |

Obviously - its easier to score 1 run in the bottom of the 8th than 2 runs. But that isnt the question - and you obviously jizzed in your pants on that one. So, now that you know extra innings count - care to reconsider? |

The biggest factor is that in a tie game in the bottom of the 8th the home team is going to play for 1 run not a big inning...Of course a big inning can happen but the home team will play for 1 run whether they are tied or are looking for that 1 extra insurance run..Tied you need a man on base to have any chance of covering...up by 1 you have at least 3 times where the covering run will be up at bat....simple math here Van..

This is like asking in a Pick'em football bet would you rather be down by 2 and need a field goal to win or be down 6 and need a touchdown to win...I can't even see how you can make an argument for wanting to need 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th instead of 1...

Great. Try answering the question, and give some reasoning.
2, If a runner gets on in a tie game or a 1 run lead depending on what part of the batting order is up the team is most likely going to play small ball and bunt the runner over and play for the 1 run whether it is the go ahead run or an insurance run.. I can't imagine that you are serious with this question anyway, maybe Vanzack is a little bored and just wants to reel in some fish |

In other words, if you were giving 1.5, would you rather be up by 1 heading in to the eights or tied? Im not sure about this one.... |
