Ddukkee - Thanks for sharing your picks (write up or not). I agree with your shout out to those that take the time to write up their rationale. Too many people are too quick to jump on 3 paragraphs of sound logic with the intelligent rebuttal - "You're stupid". Covers rocks because you get lots of great perspectives and folks should remember that our sole purpose is to win and have fun not turn this into the Jerry Springer show. Anyhow, you have been on a tear lately and you've steered me right quite a few times these playoffs. Thanks. Nice avatar. Looks like that was a fun night. |

Mr Bator - Grizzlies are definately the Dark Horse of these playoffs (there is always at least one) and riding them until they collapse is a great call. You still steering clear of the Heats/Celtics war? |

Bodio - Always respect your picks but really respect that you are willing to admit you were wrong on the Lakers. That is true class. I was with you on your "zig-zag" Bulls logic for game 2 but I faded your Laker Game 2 call. I've watched the Lakers for years (as I'm sure most people in this thread have) and they have look tired and unmotivated for the past 6 weeks. They just aren't the same team from the past 3 years and unfortunately for us folks in Southern California they are going to lose this series. But hey, there is always next year. However, money has no alliegence so I'm going to continue betting the Mavs until the Lakers can demonstrate they have some heart. |

college teams that travel across the country is what I meant.

I think the larger point is that college teams that travel across the team to play are at a distinct disadvantage. Moreover, teams that only have to travel a few hours to a game are at an advantage. Vegas is not stupid, however, and this is baked into the line. If this game were in the middle of the country, I would suspect that SD State would be getting a few points.
This matchup is difficult to cap either way. Two teams in two conferences that do not meet very often (same with the other mid-major vs big conference match-ups). When in doubt, it is always best to take the points which is not an option in this one. I will instead rely on the other rule of thumb, the best defense has the advantage. SD State for me.

the under 2H for this type of game makes me very nervous. they left their defenses in the parking lot for this game.

Yeah, everyone is on the Huskies which is why the line has moved away from them a full 1.5 points. There is clear value now on the Huskies so the money is now swinging the other way.
