With a solid two-game slate of playoff hockey tonight, and I’ve compiled my best parlay for today’s action. As always, make sure you shop around and look for the best prices, as these are rapidly changing markets that see a lot of action prior to puck drop.

Here are my free NHL picks for Tuesday, May 14.

Best NHL parlay picks for Tuesday

NHL parlay pick

Aleksander Barkov anytime goalscorer

Canucks moneyline

Brock Boeser anytime goalscorer

Kicking off tonight's NHL slate is Game 5 between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers. Florida forward Aleksander Barkov has been its best scoring option in this series, potting three goals over the past three games.

I believe this success will continue in Game 5 as Boston is starting to crumble under the pressure of the Panthers’ high-powered offense. Goaltender Jeremy Swayman has struggled while dealing with said pressure, allowing three or more goals in each of the past three games.

Over that stretch, Swayman is 0-3 with a fade-worthy .875 SV% and 4.57 GAA. If he's going to continue to get scored on, then I find it hard to believe that Barkov won’t be responsible once again, given he's scored six times over the past nine meetings between these two teams.

The second game features the Edmonton Oilers hosting the Vancouver Canucks in Game 4. Vancouver has never gotten the respect it deserves this postseason following winning the Pacific Division, and it has put everyone on notice this series with a 2-1 series lead over the favored Oilers.

There are two main reasons why I strongly dislike Edmonton in this series: defense and goaltending. At 5-on-5, the Oilers rank in the bottom half among the eight remaining playoff teams in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).

Backing up this struggling blue line is goaltender Stuart Skinner, who's struggled mightily. Over his past four starts, Skinner possesses a troubling .810 SV% and 4.02 GAA.

On the other hand, rookie goaltender Arturs Silovs has stepped up well for Vancouver this postseason, going 4-2 with a .908 SV% and 2.65 GAA.

Brock Boeser has scored seven times over the past seven games, and at this point, we must keep riding the hot hand. He has also scored 13 goals over the past 18 meetings between these two teams.

Today's NHL same-game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each game on Sunday's playoff slate:

Bruins vs Panthers same-game parlay (SGP)

Panthers in regulation

Vladimir Tarasenko Over 1.5 shots

Brandon Montour Over 2.5 shots

Panthers winger Vladimir Tarasenko has eight shots and 17 attempts since returning to the No. 1 line with Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart three games ago. The trio have driven 5-on-5 possession with a 60.0 CF%, and Tarasenko is the primary shooter on the No. 2 power-play unit while averaging 2:47 of PP time per game during the series.

Florida defenseman Brandon Montour has cleared this total in four of his past five games, including three of four during Round 2. He’s fourth on the team with 24 attempts and quarterbacks the No. 1 power-play unit. I also value his offensively tilted role. Montour leads Florida defensemen in offensive-zone starts per 60 minutes (17.92) this postseason.

Canucks vs Oilers same-game parlay (SGP)

Canucks moneyline

Over 5.5

Connor McDavid anytime goal

Taking the total is a natural add-on to a single-game parlay. We’ve dropped it down to 5.5 just in case, but these teams have scored at least seven goals in each game in this series.

Going back to the regular season, these teams have struck for at least six combined goals in six of seven matchups this year. The Over has a 6-2-2 record in the last 10 matchups.

And while we’re taking the Canucks to win, that doesn’t mean McDavid will come up empty again. McDavid has consistently worn out Vancouver’s defense, picking up points in 18 of his last 20 games against the Canucks, 16 of which were goals.
