2* Dancevic -131 Siding with Frank's familiarity in big tournament qualifying situations to see him through the first round here over a relatively new and inexperienced player just starting out on tour after a decent collegiate career in the States.

2* Reynolds -106 Tough to get a read on the Canadian over his career. Has flashes of brilliance when he's on but if things don't go Dancevic's way he mentally checks out in a hurry. I'll side with the US journeyman who has given Frank fits throughout their matches including winning four of the last five meetings.

Wasn't a choke, he was never in the lead after the first set. Fought back from a break down late in both the 2nd and 3rd sets but couldn't hold when it mattered. Reynolds was very clutch when he needed to be.

2* Kubot +175 Kubot's a solid returner with an unorthodox style of play that doesn't allow his opponent to find a rhythm on most occasions. Underrated volleyer as well to apply some extra pressure and it's no wonder Karlovic is 0-2 against him. The "doctor" had a great run here last year but I like the weaponry and tactics of Kubot to see him through here.
1* Young +127 Young's wildly inconsistent, including a brutal showing last week against Sweeting but even then I think Darcis is being overrated here. More of a gut feeling then anything, I'm siding with the Don.

Hantuchova couldn't serve a lick today. A rollercoaster match. I thought hantchova had the momentum after winning the 2nd set tiebreak and going into the 3rd up 2-0 and a game point for 3-0. She obviously just fell apart from there.

2* Roddick 2-0 +106 Kubot's getting a lot of love here based on Roddick's play to start the year and he did defeat him easily back in '09 Beijing. Andy's fitness is rapidly improving, as his injuries heal, and so is his play as evident by his matches in Del Ray Beach. Did very well against eventual champion Anderson last week and will take a small bit of satisfaction from defeating Federer in an exhibition. Kubot's always tricky but Roddick's being underrated a bit here on home soil, think he'll represent good value down the road in this tournament.
2* Harrison/Troicki over 22 -108 Troicki's a headcase, Harrison's hotheaded. They can each have a meltdown per set and may the best man win in the 3rd.
1* Kohlschreiber/Anderson 23 +102 Great conditions for Kohlschreiber who has performed well here in the past while Anderson is an overall hardcourt beast. Advantage to the big South African in the serve department and clutch moments while Kohlschreiber should dictate the majority of the rallies. Like the chances of this one going the distance.
