ADC,
This is a serious question, and one that needs to be decided on by the players in the Contest.
I have no experience with Betfair, or any exchanges for that matter, so i dont know how they operate.
www.txodds.com showed what most of the books had them at and it looked like a range of 2.90 to 3.25, or +190 to +225, ehile Betfair's prices were n/a.
It is counted as a loss due to the draw result.
Any who have opinions can weigh in on this situation for future posting.
For the record, I dont see it as a dick move by sharpster, as he is on the level in everything he does in this Forum, and my interactions with him have been positive.
ADC, thank you for bringing this point up. This was one of my reasons for having people post the book they got their prices from, so we can "police" each other if need be, and so if people want to tail a play, they know where to find it.

Bake, I deal with betting exchanges all the time, infact it (Betfair) is my main book (for want of a better word).
To appreciate the workings of exchange sites people must realise it's not Me vs. the Bookie. It's Me vs. the Next Degenerate Mofo out there. They put up a 'bet', and you either take that bet or you join them and entice other individuals to take 'your' bet. Essentially it give us punters to an opportunity to effectively become 'the book' and 'lay' sporting/racing events or 'take' a bet (as we would with a bookmaker) so you get to play both sides of the ledger, and the actual book (in my case Betfair) takes a small transaction commision. This is how Exchanges make their money. They couldn't care less who wins or loses, they take a small commision from every single winner.
My own experiences with Exchanges goes from one of pure disbelief to one of going to another bookmaker altogether for a much better deal, the latter generally regarding sums I would prefer to wager on an event.
Whilst I can totally appreciate ADC's opinion that the over inflated odds that crop up on Exchanges are nothing more than a gimmick simply because you cannot get 'on' for more than a few dollars at a time (last time Barca played Real Madrid I matched Barca @ 4.95 ... but only for $11 worth, and the next 'in line' was $1.95) until the market finds a realisation that pretty much fits the norm of actual bookmakers.
I can see both sides of the argument.
Can Sharpster get these odds? Absolutley (I got almost the same)
Is ADC correct that if 20 people jumped onto a single pick on a single exchange, they would not have those exact odds matched - unlike with a bookmaker? Absolutley
Personally I think who gives a shit. It's not like we're trying to win a fucking BMW here. We are posting picks, some good, some bad. Who cares what they pay. It's irrelevant when we think about it.
The amount of times I've tailed guys on here and have acquired much better odds than they have isn't even funny, and likewise the opposite.
People want winners - simple. What odds we get is up to us - it shouldn't be a responsibility of the one picking the winners.
