Record:1-1 I was wrong about Jamie Dixon. New league and team completely changed his style. Today Gonzaga under 150.5 VS rival st. Mary's. Middle Tennessee St - 3.5 VS Marshall |

First pick of the year. Record: 0-0 TCU under 160. Jamie is 1-4 with run and gun style of Big 12. Look for him to get back to old Pitt winning style. Arizona -14. Should curbstomp Cal. |

Thanks for your reply numbers. Pitt has actually played well its last four games and is 2-1 ATS (no line against Gardner-Webb) with its only loss against Louisville. Lost bu one at Syracuse in the dome a game where they were down 14-0 quickly and then lost 14-13. Basically controlled the game til Sunseri made bad decisions late. Were in Louisville game (up at the half) til Bridgewater went off in third quarter. Pitt should dominate because sunseri should not be in position to lose the game. If it is close he tends to freeze up and make a bad decision. The defense plays well against medium to bad quarterbacks which Zordich is. I actually expect a blowout. As I said earlier Shell could have his breakout game as running back.

Don't usually come on except to read but I believe Pitt is going to rip Buffalo a new one today and am happy line dropped below 10. Shell/Graham duo should both go over 100 yds, today with Buffalo's small d-line and Shell might have firs 200 yd. game.

Numbers. Respect your skills but believe the panthers are going to rip Buffalo a new one today. Small Buffalo defensive line will allow Graham and freshman s
Shell to both be over 100 on the ground. Could be Shell's first 200 yd. game.

Neil. Great thread. Just out of interest do you keep track of your record on totals separate of actual game lines and if so how is it?

Nropp11. I have been on covers for two years and totally respect your research and knowledge base. You seem to be way off on a lot of totals this year. ( I don't know your exact totals record ). Do use look at totals based on a statistical analysis of possessions along with matchups or just anecdotally take an educated guess based on styles? I don't remember you missing so badly on so many totals and have significantly more losers than winners in the past. Once again this is not a criticism just an inquiry into what makes you chose a total. |

High octane time in Pittsburgh. Gone are the Wannstedt days when Pitt struggled to beat MAC teams. I expect Pitt to put up 50+ by themselves. Buffalo also runs an up tempo scheme so they should score ten to 14 plus give up some turnovers. Lot of good backups for Pitt itching to score as well.
Pitt-Buffalo over 54.5 Big!!! |

Won't be betting the game but I like Rider to cover the 19 vs. Pitt today. They are an excellent 3-pt. shooting team which is Pitt's one defensive weakness. They have played some good competition already and Pitt is coming off their intercity rivalry game with Duquesne. Pitt should win easily but I think by 11-12 pts.

Go ahead and fade them. They covered even when playing poorly for the game.

Chalk it up. Pitt was sloppy in the second half but pulled it out.

first half went well. Kinda like I thought. The only way we lose if Duquesne gets hot from threeland in the second half

we are on opposite sides flyguy. we'll see what happens but this is not the same team as last year that barely beat the Dukes. That team was very inexperienced at the time and had two starters out (Dixon and Brown). This team is very experienced, remembers last year, and has already played three top teams (URI, Texas, Maryland).
Too much for the Dukies. |
