Just to clarify... the winner of the pool is the one with the most wins at the end of the bowl season. Win %, "Units", or any of the other statistics doesn't matter. Most wins= WINNER!!

Kindergarten, I have been using KenPom for a couple years now. I actually have a spreadsheet very similar to what it is that you produced for everybody. Two suggestion I might add: 1) Include SOS so you can know the degree of importance behind the efficiency #s (Ex: Florida and UCSB, while UCSB might have similar numbers that is a result of playing worse competition) It just helps get a better orientation and what the numbers truly mean 2) The second stat I am using and only during tournament time is the Effective Age for each team. Experience plays a HUGE role come this time a year. I am going to have a hard time betting a team with a much younger team than who they are playing. Just a couple things to think about. I was glad to see somebody else is a Kenpom believer, it's time a lot of those outdated stats are thrown out. Good luck to you though! |

You have a point about their inconsistency... I can't think of more than two games (Indy on Mon night and the Saints game they pissed away) that they haven't covered all year...

Miami just won a huge divisional game at home this past Sunday versus the "all-mighty" New England Patriots. I don't believe any of the teams in the NFL (much less any bettors) still have not given this Jacksonville Jaguars team any respect what so ever. Just hearing a lot of Miami +3 talk going on and I simply don't believe that Miami will have much motivation going into this game. If you say the playoff angle well, Jacksonville has that same angle in their corner as well... Not to mention all the talk and "trendiness" surrounding the Dolphins makes me like the Jags even more (I hate the public). Not saying I am on the Jags just wanted some outside feedback... Thanks!

Money--> Its not my favorite way to try to make money trust me, I just didn't want to lay the points and it pays better than a moneyline parlay...
LSU +3 and Stanford +10 are two others that really jumped off the page at me...

PrimeTime--> didn't mean it as an insult, I was really trying to make a statement to all those who get on here and tout themselves and there picks more or less lol. ECU is intriguing, whats your logic nccapper? I was thinking an Arkansas teaser or something... Stanford +9.5 (I would buy the hook to +10) is another that really jumped out at me... |

I suppose you have a point prime time... I don't want to go all ignorant egotistical doosch on everybody with all the "POY!!" "follow me or not morons!!" business... I've only put a couple of hours into handicapping the bowls so far and have bet college football to a fairly successful clip this year... I know I don't have any documented records but so far I am 69-52-2 on the year in college football. LSU +3 is just one of those that jumps off the page at you and after doing some fairly in depth handicapping every sign seems to point in the favor of what I like therefore making it my "GOY." I apologize for coming off as one of the airheaded self touting jerks who just waste everybody's time and space on here... |

Been betting all year as well as following everyone's opinions on the Covers forums. Finally decided to add my two cents... feel free to tail or fade, I know there is absolutely for anybody to tail me but who knows lol. Lets' get some discussion going... 1) Oregon -3 2) Georgia Tech -3 3) (6 Point Teaser) TCU -1 Alabama +.5

My website is SBRodds.com. It is amazing I try to do something nice and share some information with people and not only do people read the post and then complain, but then they take the time and effort to reply and share their complaining. I am not putting my subjectivity or opinions into any of this. They are simply cold hard facts. I appreciate those of you who have appreciated the thread, best of luck to those of you.

Different people take different things from the reverse line movement. I personally do not really buy into the whole trend, however, other take it quite seriously...
