Found another one I'll be playing. NEB/WASH Over 52.5 These teams put up 77 the last time they played so why not higher than 53? Seems simple enough to me? I do think both quaterbacks will be looking to air it out. |

haven't really thought about the moneyline, was just planning on pounding the +11. Have to take a look at that one though. Hopefully the Spartans can stay out of trouble this year and have a full squad come game time.

Like to see what you think about the MSU/Alabama game. I know its jumping ahead so I'll check back if you have a system going. |

State has to be one of if not they most motivated teams this bowl season. Yes its not the Rose bowl, but this is the biggest bowl they've played in a long, long time. The senior's (Greg Jones and the boys) have lost all three of their bowl games they played in, they feel like the BCS snubbed them, they have been told all year how they are overrated, and the best part is they get to play two former coaches on the Alabama staff. Can you imagine how fired up Dantionio is going to be with a chance to beat the coach that dumped this program just prior to this same bowl game ten years ago (Saban), and his replacement that year (Bobby Williams). How often do coaches get a chance to deliver all that payback in one big game. I don't think Alabama is even close to thinking that same way.

Chadpatt59- I like the idea of the Ark/Ohio st. game as well. Not as sure about the Wisconsin game. That whole game really has me stumped, I don't know what's going to happen. I bet alot of Wisconsin games this year and lost a few early (San Jose St, ASU, MSU) and cashed a few later on. It was always hard to tell which team was going to show up. I just wonder if that TCU defense can shut them down. If so Wisconsin isn't set up to try to grab alot of late points and make a big come back. That being said if they get off to a hot start they could really start to pound the ball and the wear down the TCU defense. Too close for me I think I'll pass on that one and just milk my New Year's Day hangover and watch the game. Been looking at the Alabama/MSU total-what do you think about that one?

The more I look at this one the more I like it: 1.) Nevada/BC Under 55- BC will be trying to slow this game down as much as possible and keep the Nevada offense off the field. The last thing they would ever want would be getting into a shoot out. I like BC's chances of controlling the game and keeping it within reason. I could see this a 31-17 type game. |

There are a few that are standing out to me right now 1.) Texas Tech/Northwestern Over 59 1/2- kind of a tough number needing an extra score, but Northwestern hasn't stopped anyone latley and have been able to punt up decent totals themselves even without Persa. Texas Tech loves to pound people and will have there way with the cats defense. 2.) Baylor/Ill Over 61 1/2- Could see this one going into the 80's. Neither of these teams are at all interested in playing D and once it gets going could be a real fun one to watch as the score keeps climbing. 3.) AF/GT Under 56- Both of these teams run the ball non stop so we know that the clock is going to be running all the time. I think they play for field position and kind of feel each other out for a quater or so that will chew up the clock. I think this number is a touchdown too high so see some value in taking the under in this case. 4.) Mary/ECU- Over 69- ECU hasn't stopped anyone all season so why start now. They have to realize the only way they win the game is win the shoot out and I could really see Maryland putting up over 50+ on there own in front of the home crowd.
Those are the first set and will have plenty of time to look into the games further. Gotta love this time of year! |

I couldn't agree more. I have a parlay for both as well as single bets.
I think the under 35 1st half is the best bet on the board!!!

I'm thinking about building an arc its so bad. Should be a huge problem for the passing game. This can only help the Sparties....

I hit a $5 slot machine yesterday for $12,000. This will be the first year I'll be able to bet the way I want too and not have to worry about when bills are due and how much I can spend. I'll see how the season starts off and plan bankroll from there.
One play tonight.
SD/SEA Over 37

This is my favorite game of the preseason so far.
Big brother (Dallas) won't let little brother (HOU) come into their house and beat 'em. NO WAY!!!

Taking a bit of a beating to start the year. (1-3)
Gonna try to turn it around tonight.......
If you happen to have the same bets I apoligize for the kiss of death....
Tenn +3
Phil +2.5
Dallas -5.5
Hopefully this will right the ship and get things going in the right direction.

After giving this some thought about my original leans, I talked myself into the following:
Chicago -3
Under 37
I actually like the fact that the starters are going to be playing more of the game. In my opinion this can only help the under. As sad as that is to think about! It seems like once the back-ups come in everything goes to hell. this should be a more typical grind it out game and hopefully the defenses can dictate the tempo of play. Give the Bears the nod with either a key turnover that will result in quick easy points, or a special teams play that will be the difference.
Final score:
Bears 17 SF 13

I have to agree about MSU/CAL. It seems as though alot of people are on MSU and I really don't get it. I've been a State fan my whole life and I'm all over Cal. The big ten teams just can't handle the speed of Pac-10 teams. I say that after watching repeated Big Ten champs go down in flames in the major bowls (Rose for sure) This Spartan team is physical, but not the fastest. The long travel doesn't help either. I know MSU played alot of close games last year, but I would suggest taking Cal or laying off. There are much better games to play than this.....NW, Pitt or Wisconsin to name a few.

Gotta really like the Brown's here at +2. Just too many injuries for the G-Men at receiver. Wasn't going to play any preseason this year, but I just can't take it anymore.
What the hell give me the over 35.5 too.
Brown's 27 Giant's 13

I have to think that warming up against a below average WMU team to get things rolling in Lincoln has to help any new coach. Lucky should have no problem having a huge day.
