"I'm going to play if I have to drag my leg out there tonight," laughed Lewis. He then simulated his shooting motion and cracked, "This still works." Coach Stan Van Gundy said Lewis' status would be determined before the game. If Lewis can not play, Van Gundy said he would determine his lineup after learning whether Pistons guard Rip Hamilton (groin) plays. |

Pistons guard-forward Richard Hamilton, who missed Saturday night's game against Milwaukee with a groin strain, could sit out tonight against the Magic. Hamilton is expected to test it this morning at shootaround. If Hamilton can't go, Pistons Coach Michael Curry will use a bigger lineup and start Kwame Brown instead of Amir Johnson, according to the Detroit News. Curry told the News that he has been trying to figure out whether to go big or small against the Magic. I"I've got to make a decision on that," he said. "I have to take a long look at Orlando. They are one of the teams we'd like to be big against, but we'll have to see." |

I like Magic a lot and this looks like "too good to be true" (hate this
line!). One thing still keeps me to pull the trigger. Detroit still
owns Orlando (won 16 of the last 21), and we just saw they still beat
teams they own (Bucks). And, WITH AI, Detroit beat Cleveland, San
Antonio and LA Lakers. They are inconsistent as hell though, and might
miss again Rip Hamilton.

Actually, they were "running" just for a little bit more than a half, until LA put them away for good and Don Nelson played with his second unit. I saw the game, not too much effort put by the Warrios. S.Jackson played 29 minutes, Biedrins 25, Jamal 27. I wouldnt say they are tired. In fact, if you're talking about tiredness, I think Raptors are on the bad end of a 6 game road trip, with a extra-flight in Canada for the players to spend their Christmas with their families.
In terms of motivation, I would say GSW needs this more. As a matter of fact, it's a winnable game for them. Warriors beat Toronto 4 times in a row at home, plus a little revenge factor after they lost a heartbreaker in Toronto. We all know Raps have their cold-shooting moments here and there during the games. With that said, I wouldnt feel confortable as a Toronto backer against a team who can shoot the lights out any given day. I kinda like GSW (which reminds me of those days, a couple of seasons ago, when I was winning like crazy during their fight-for-playoffs-run) |
