Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews an
Eastern Conference showdown between the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic at the new
Amway Center. At the time of this writing, the following Match
Odds/Moneyline were available: Miami Heat (2.24, +124) and Orlando Magic (1.74,
-135) Miami embarrassed the Orlando Magic earlier this season in
picking up a 26-point win, but nobody is sure that this team can replicate that
performance in its current state. "I don't think we anticipated anything
like this," said forward Chris Bosh. "When we came into this
situation we all knew that it wasn't going to be an easy road, so we have to
just embrace the face that it's not easy." The Heat have failed to deliver
early in the season with an 8-6 record that includes a 2-3 mark on the road.
The team will also be without power forward Udonis Haslem for an indefinite
amount of time due to a foot injury. He's a player that LeBron James found to
be the most important part in keeping the team on track during the offseason.
"We took a blow with U.D. going down," said James. "Someone has
to step up." The team if 5-9 ATS on the season. The Heat dropped its last game by a double-digit margin at
home against the Indiana Pacers and star guard Dwyane Wade managed to shoot
1-of-13 from the floor after missing the previous game with a strained left
wrist. Head coach Erik Spoelstra knew it would be a pressure-packed season with
high expectations and sounds like someone that's starting to look over his
shoulder. "We have to be active participants in our own rescue," he
commented. "We need to dig ourselves out. I don't want to overreact to
this, but we certainly need to address it." Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/basketball/magic-must-control-heat-to-gai-241110.html |

Hi guys, some game info for you… The Kings arrive in Montreal with almost the same record as
the Canadiens. Both have 13 wins and 7 loses with Montreal up one more point
from an overtime loss. They are also 6-4 in their last 10 games. The big
surprise is that Quebec native Jonathan Bernier will be getting the start over
Jonathan Quick in net. This is the only time these teams will meet this season.
The last time they met was last season in Los Angeles, the Canadiens won 4-2. The Kings hope to regain their momentum. After winning 6 in
a row, they have lost four of their last five games. Although Montreal lost
their last game in Philadelphia, they have managed to win 5 of their last 7 games. Carey Price has 3
shutouts in his last 10 starts, one of the big reasons for Montreal's winning
record. The Kings have a bright future ahead of them. They have a
core of young stars who are proving their own in the league. Coach Terry Murray
and GM Dean Lombardi have managed to turn a once average team into one of the
best in the league. Young forwards Anze Jopitar, Jarret Stoll, and Dustin Brown
are all having productive seasons. The defense is also rounded out by youth,
featuring the likes of Jack Johnson, Drew Daughty, and Davis Drewiske. In the
nets, goaltender Jonathan Quick last season broke the record for franchise
victories. This season, he has a 11-3 record with a solid 1.90 GAA. This team
will only get better as it matures. Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/hockey/montreal-hosts-rare-visit-agai-241110.html |

Hi guys, some game info... Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews an
exciting NBA matchup between the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers at the
Staples Center. At the time of this writing, the board is Chicago Bulls +8.5
(1.91, -110) and Los Angeles Lakers -8.5 (1.87, -115) Chicago continues its circus road trip with a games against
the two-time defending champions at the Staples Center on Tuesday night. The
Bulls are a solid 5-2 versus Western Conference opponents, including a 2-2 mark
on the road. In its last game, the team overcome a double-digit third quarter
deficit, tallying an 88-83 win over the Mavericks. Chicago out-rebounded Dallas
by a decisive 59-34 margin, with forward Taj Gibson and center Joakim Noah
grabbing 18 and 17 rebounds respectively. The squad is 3-2 ATS on the road this
season. The Bulls have dropped six straight games to the Lakers,
with their last win coming on December 19, 2006 in the Windy City. Chicago is
24-44 on the road against Los Angeles, including a 2-9 mark in the last 11
meetings at the Staples Center. The defense will need to continue its great
play, giving up just 92.7 points a contest over the past six games, going
against the NBA's best offense that scored 112.5 a night. None of it may
matter, as the Lakers have averaged 107.7 points in the last six meetings. Los Angeles has won four straight games in dominating
fashion by an average of 17.3 points and absolutely destroyed the Golden State
Warriors on Sunday night by a score of 117-89. Center Pau Gasol became the
fifth Laker in franchise history to not miss from the field with a minimum of
10 attempts, totaling a team-high 28 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
"Matt told me, 'Welcome to the club," Gasol said. "I said,
'Happy to be in there'." He joined Barnes and Charles Barkley as the only
players to have at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists without
missing at least five shots from the field and free-throw line. The team is 9-5
ATS this season. Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/basketball/lakers-in-complete-control-dur-231110.html |

A resolution passed by the Senate Economic Growth Committee calls for a referendum, to be held next November in which voters would decide whether to allow gambling on professional sports games. But a federal ban on sports betting in all but four states
would have to be overturned first. Lesniak says revenue from sports betting could help New Jersey's struggling horse tracks stay alive. He read a text message a friend of his sent him recently from a Delaware racetrack where sports betting is legal. "At Delaware Pk Sports Book on way to Eagles
game," the message read. "Oh boy NJ missing out! You gotta get it in
NJ. Packed house 10am Sunday." Lesniak is suing the federal government to overturn a ban on
sports betting on Constitutional grounds, mainly that it fails to treat all
states equally. New Jersey was offered a chance to allow sports betting in
1991, but failed to do so. A 1992 law restricts sports betting to the four states that
met a deadline to sign up for it: Nevada, where Las Vegas sports books
determine the odds for sporting events across the country; Delaware; Montana;
and Oregon. The Senate postponed a vote on a bill that would create an
Atlantic City Tourism District encompassing the 11 casinos, overseen by the
Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. The vote was postponed after several amendments were
proposed, including canceling an $8 million tax break for the casinos on
complimentary vouchers, as well as saving the Atlantic City Convention and
Visitors Authority, which was to be shuttered under earlier versions of the
plan. Also postponed was a vote on a bill that would revise and
relax some of Atlantic City's famously strict casino regulations, stripping the
Casino Control Commission of much of its power and giving it to the state Division
of Gaming Enforcement, part of the Attorney General's Office. Those bills are
due for votes on Dec. 20. |

Hi guys, some game info for tonight… Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews Monday Night Football with the Denver Broncos taking on the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium. At the time of this writing, the board is Denver Broncos +9.5 (1.91, -110) and San Diego Chargers -9.5 (2.04, +104) The Broncos will be making their 62nd appearance on Monday Night Football, which is tied for fourth-most in league history. "You're the only game in town - the only ones playing," said Justin Bannan. "So if we can go out and show the world what we're all about, that'd be great." Many anticipate a highly-offensive game, considering that the teams rank as the top two offensive units in the AFC in passes covering at least 20 yards and 40-plus yards, with 110 such plays combined. Quarterback Kyle Orton threw for a career-best 3,802 yards last season and is on pace to shatter that mark during the 2010-11 campaign. Continued… |

Leafs Specialist Sean Stafford previews as The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Dallas Stars Whichever Leafs team comes out to play Monday night at the Air Canada Centre, it had better be one that realizes its strength lies in playing a hitting game and sticking to short, crisp passing rather than trying to play a fancy skating, high-risk playmaking style. "He played well, especially in the first period and he gave us a chance to win," Leafs coach Ron Wilson said of Gustavsson. "I wouldn't say that they had a very good power play. We got the puck and then gave it right back to them." Continued: |

The New York Jets have got the job done by hook or by crook in recent weeks. This is another job they should get done, says Andy Richmond. For the NY Jets it's been a question of just getting the job done recently - becoming the first NFL side to win back-to-back overtime games on the road (both on the final play of the game). For the Texans it's been a very different story - they blew the game on the very last play against the Jaguars last week and that came a week after they tossed away a nine point fourth quarter lead against the Chargers. Both of those defeats comprise part of a five game run which has seen them lose four of those five, leaving them at 4-5. The result may not be much better against the Jets, whom the Texans have not beaten in four meetings since entering the league in 2002. Clearly they are not executing in all departments and defensively they look extremely porous, conceding 409.7 yards per game and 28.6 points per game. They have also allowed at least 10 points in 14 of 36 quarters this season. Offensively Houston have been moving the ball without translating those numbers into wins, although with NFL leading rusher Arian Foster being held to 56 yards against the Jaguars, they will need to utilise WR Andre Johnson. His job will be to move the ball against a Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/football/nfl/nfl-betting-houston-texans-ny-201110.html |

Hi guys, some game info… At the time of this writing the following Match Odds/Moneyline (Inc. OT) were: Chicago Blackhaws (2.48 +148) and Vancouver Canucks (1.66 -152). Over/Under is: Over 5.5 goals (2.12 +112), and Under 5.5 goals (1.87 -115) For the next foreseeable future there will never be any ordinary games when the Vancouver Canucks and Chicago Blackhawks meet. They've met two years in a row in the second round of the playoffs with the Blackhawks winning both times in 6 games. Last year marked their first regular season as bona fide rivals; any every game was a close physical one. This Saturday night's game between the two clubs will be no different. The Hawks have different faces to add to the rivalry but the main players are all still there. Toews, Kane and Keith are among the elite of the NHL, but they lost a lot of grit with players like Byfuglien, Ladd, and Versteeg. The Hawks and Canucks have already played once already this season, a 2-1 Hawk shootout victory. Marty Turco played his first game as a Hawk against the Canucks and improved to 19-7-2 lifetime against The situation though is kind of similar to last year when the Blackhawks played back to back games going into Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/hockey/hawks-and-canucks-renew-their-201110.html |

"It all started with Pat," he said. "I don't really understand what it was about him, but he'd just stare and I knew he was saying I had to be better." The Big Match Tactical View: Arsenal v Tottenham Michael Cox talks us through the tactics and the key players who can have the biggest impact on the outcome of this match, as well as looking for some value bets. Arsenal will go to the top of the table with a win in the Tottenham will have to do without their first-choice holding midfielder Tom Huddlestone, who is out of action until 2011 with an ankle injury. Harry Redknapp has three potential replacements - Wilson Palacios, Sandro and Jermaine Jenas, all offering a slightly different option in that position. Palacios is the most defensive-minded option but appears to have gone off the boil in recent months, Sandro is still adjusting to Premier League football, whilst Jenas is not really a holding player. Whoever gets the nod will be charged with dealing with Arsenal's most creative force, Cesc Fabregas, so this will probably be Harry Redknapp's key decision. I'll be keeping an eye on the 'shown a card' market with regard to whichever player starts there, though I wouldn't go for anything under [2.8]. A better bet might be Luka Modric, who does more defensive work in a deeper-lying position these days, and with Arsenal dominating the ball and Huddlestone out, he'll have to get some tackles in. With three bookings in his last five games, [5.5] or better is a good bet for him to be shown a card. Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/soccer/the-big-match-tactical-view-ar-191110.html |

Hi guys, thoughts on the game… Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews a WAC football game on Friday night between the Fresno State Bulldogs and Boise State Broncos at Bronco Stadium At the time of this writing, the board is The Bulldogs will need a big game from its defense to remain competitive in this contest and will rely heavily on its ability to get to the quarterback. Fresno State currently ranks sixth in the nation in sacks with 27, but Boise State ranks higher in getting to the signal caller 35 times. Defensive end Chris Carter has nine solo sacks for minus-50 yards and defensive tackle Logan Harrell has seven sacks of his own. The unit is 77th nationally in scoring defense, allowing more than 28.4 points per game, but ranks 45th in the NCAA in total defense, surrendering 349.5 yards a contest. NBA Betting: MAGIC HOST A
WORN OUT SUNS CLUB Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews a Thursday night NBA matchup between the visiting Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic at the new Amway Center. At the time of this writing, the board is Phoenix Suns +10.5 (1.82, -122) and Orlando Magic -10.5 (2.14, +114) Phoenix really didn't have a chance in a 123-96 blowout loss in Miami last night, entering the contest on fumes after beating the Lakers and Nuggets on back-to-back nights. "We just never came close to guarding Chris Bosh," said head coach Alvin Gentry. The Suns interior defense allowed Bosh to break out of an early-season funk with 35 points. Offensively, the team managed to hit just 5-of-19 3-point shots, something that must improve to have a chance in tonight's contest. Phoenix has won nine of the last 12 meetings, but are concerned that point guard Steve Nash will miss the second game of a back-to-back due to a sore groin. "I kind of took a little risk," said Nash. "It didn't feel great, but I don't think I did serious damage to it." The Suns are 6-5 overall and 1-1 versus the Eastern Conference this year. Phoenix had dropped two-straight games in Orlando, a place where they have not collected a victory since November 10, 2007. The squad does have a 28-13 all-time record against the Magic, mainly due to a dominating 16-5 mark in the Valley of the Sun. Bench play will be key due to the grueling early-season schedule this team has faced, as the reserves have nearly doubled their opponents this season with 38.9 points per game compared to 23.7. Orlando has struggled from long-distance this season and will likely look to take advantage of its rebounding edge in this Thursday night contest. The Magic are the third-best rebounding team in the league, while the Suns are allowing opponents to average an NBA-tying 46.4 rebounds per game. "History tells you that they can shoot the ball and we can't panic over 10 games," said head coach Stan Van Gundy. "We haven't shot it well, but these guys have a history of shooting it well." Orlando is coming off a 89-72 home victory over the Grizzlies on Monday night, a contest that saw center Dwight Howard score 18 points and grab 14 rebounds. The team has a brilliant 17-6 ATS mark versus Pacific division clubs. Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/basketball/magic-host-a-worn-out-suns-clu-181110.html |

Hi guys, some game info
for you… Sean Stafford previews as the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. New Jersey Devils After facing only 9 shots against Nashville Tuesday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs (6-8-3) were down 3-0 yet somehow came back to win the game 5-4 despite a very dubious called back tying goal that could have potentially derailed Toronto's comeback. ?"Strange game to say the least," Coach Ron Wilson said. "I'm glad we won. It's one of those kinds of games that when you look back on it, hopefully it puts an abrupt stop to the slide we've been in. We can use it for momentum." From a Leafs perspective, the timing could not be better to take on a 5-11-2 New Jersey Devils team that is in disarray with injuries, sub par goaltending and a disgruntled, non producing superstar in Ilya Kovalchuk.?"We have to be a little more intense," said Martin Brodeur, who will start Thursday against the Maple Leafs. "I think we had a great chance to score early in [Boston] and after that we shot ourselves in the foot with penalties. They took over the game and we never got back that drive that we had in the last two games. I think it's something we're going to have to have tomorrow, just to get that intensity up." Despite the win, Toronto lost starting netminder J.S. Giguere in the third period with a minor groin strain that will sideline him up to two weeks. Jonas Gustavsson should get most of the action during that time with AHL recall James Reimer backing him up. Hi Guys, some game info for you… The Dolphins are depleted by injuries and Chicago look set
to benefit, says Andy Richmond Match odds: Chicago [2.12], Miami [1.88] To paraphrase Oscar Wilde "To lose one quarterback Mr
Sparano may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like
carelessness" - but that is precisely the situation Miami find themselves
in. With their two starting quarterbacks out of the season the Dolphins have to
turn to third choice Tyler Thigpen who has limited NFL experience. Miami also have other injury worries in various positions
with star left tackle Jake Long and their main pass-rusher Cameron Wake
struggling to be fit. In one way Thigpen gives the Miami offence, which is only
averaging 19.1 points per game, added mobility but his inexperience and lack of
practice is a drawback, especially against a strong Bears defence ranked fourth
in the NFL overall. The Dolphins have been struggling at home, where they have
won just a solitary game, and seem to prefer life on the road where they have
defeated some tough teams. The Bears are bidding to take a clear lead in the
NFC North and while their 6-3 record looks solid they have only played three
teams with winning records and two of those three defeats were suffered in
those games. Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/football/nfl/nfl-betting-chicago-bears-miam-181110.html |

Hi guys, some game info for you… Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews a
Wednesday night matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat at the American
Airlines Arena At the time of this writing, the board is Phoenix Suns +8.5 (1.9, -111) and
Miami Heat -8.5 (2.06, +106) Phoenix has an overall 6-4 record thanks to winning five of
six after a slow start, including a 100-94 home win over the Denver Nuggets on
Monday. "I think guys are starting to get comfortable playing with each
other and it's shown in the last couple of games we've played," said guard
Jason Richardson. The Suns won on the second night of a back-to-back for the
first time this season despite making just four three-point field goals after
making a franchise-record 22 3-pointers against the Lakers the previous night.
Four starters scored in double figures for just the second time this season and
they received 36 bench points. The team is 5-5 ATS on the season and 1-0 ATS in
non-conference games. The Suns have dropped four of the last five meetings overall
against the Heat after winning the previous five contests. Phoenix is 7-5
against the Heat since point guard Steve Nash returned to the Valley of the Sun
prior to the 2004-05 season. Despite the recent struggles in the series, the
team has won four of its last five games in Miami and have an all-time mark of
15-7 on the road against the Heat. During this current stretch of three games
in four days, the Suns will have played the Lakers on two days rest, the
Nuggets on three days rest and tonight's opponent that has enjoyed three days
off. Continued: https://www.betfair.net/blog/basketball/suns-look-to-minimize-heat-in-171110.html |

Dean Goddard tells us why
Chelsea's defeat at Sunderland had been coming and how this year's Premier
League's title is there for the taking... Anybody who thought retaining the Barclays Premier League was a mere formality for reigning champions Chelsea need think again after Sunderland blew the title race wide open with an emphatic 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Form students can be forgiven for thinking three points were in the bag for the home side, when you consider that Steve Bruce's side were tasting victory away from home for the first time in the league this season. Chelsea may point to the fact they had several key players missing including Michael Essien, Frank Lampard and perhaps more importantly captain John Terry, but that would be just making excuses for what was a truly woeful display. Sunderland themselves had
to make do without their top scorer Darren Bent, who is currently nursing a
hamstring injury, but it was his replacement and club-record signing Asamoah
Gyan who proved the chief architect in Chelsea's downfall. The powerful Ghanaian star
was a constant nuisance to Chelsea's makeshift centre-back pairing of Branislav
Ivanovic and Paulo Ferreira, expertly finishing the second of his side's three
goals and taking his own personal tally to six goals in all competitions for
the Black Cats. Rather worryingly for
Chelsea's fans and backers was the fact that their own forward line never
looked at the races on Sunday and after scoring twenty-one goals in their first
five league matches, the Blues have now managed only one in their last three. CONTINUED: https://www.betfair.net/blog/soccer/premier-league-betting-does-an-151110.html |

Sean Stafford previews as
the Nashville Predators visit The Toronto Maple Leafs At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline (Inc. OT) were available: Toronto Maple Leafs (1.85, -118) Nashville Predators (1.98, -102) Tuesday's game could be subtitled 'A Tale of Two Tepid Teams.' Like Toronto, The Nashville Predators have cooled somewhat after starting the season with a 4 game undefeated streak, and now sit 5th in the Central Division with 17 points, scoring 2.4 goals per game while giving up 2.87. Toronto is 5th in the Northeast, scoring 2.19 per game while yielding 2.81. Nashville (7-5-3) hold a 6-4-(1)-0 record against the Leafs (5-8-3) in their 12-season history, including a 4-3-(1)-0 mark in Southern Ontario. Phil Kessel scored the game-winning goal in the lone meeting of the Preds and Leafs in 2009-10 to give the Maple Leafs their first ever win in Nashville, 4-3. "Nashville's very disciplined, well coached team that's difficult to play against," Leafs coach Ron Wilson said after Monday's practice. "They have a lot more talent than everybody's led to believe. Three solid lines, everybody on their team buys into the system and they get great goaltending. And they have two excellent defencemen in [Ryan] Suter and Shea Weber." Sean Stafford previews as the Toronto Maple Leafs take on

Odds/Moneyline (Inc. OT) were available: Toronto Maple Leafs (2.16, +116)
Vancouver Canucks (1.66, -152) To put the current Leafs slide in perspective: after 15
games last season, the Leafs record was 3-7-5. After 15 games this season, the
Leafs record is 5-7-3. Were it not for 4 straight wins to start the season,
this squad could conceivably be worse than last season's team that struggled to
a 29th place overall finish. This is all with goaltending that was supposedly
vastly superior to the now playing in Europe sieve known as Vesa (he who must
not be named) Toskola. Toronto has managed just three goals in its last three
defeats, including a 4-1 loss Wednesday in Florida -- the team recalled
defenseman Keith Aulie and 20-year-old forward Nazem Kadri from the AHL Marlies
on Friday. Kadri, who played in one NHL game last season and failed to make the
Maple Leafs out of training camp this fall, will play on a line with Tyler
Bozak and Nikolai Kulemin. Continued… https://www.betfair.net/hockey/desperate-leafs-throw-rookies-121110.html |
