that's what I'm talking about... much respect for your hot streak, i've been watching your posts (and honestly i don't read many posts on here unless i think they know what they're talking about... i make my own decisions and only watch people who do the same) but last night was a little example of being so hot you catch some luck in your streak... everything pointed to BOS -6 and that was the winner until Boston started playing like the Phoenix Suns...throwing up dumbass shots, making dumbass passes, pushing the pace and freaking out like they weren't in the driver's seat. (A better coach may have come in handy at that point) Even then, they had a myriad of opportunities to right their ship and still cover, but F***ups will be F***ups and that's why all winning percentages balance out in the end... bad breaks happen. Nonetheless, you only made a small play so props for recognizing the risk. I'm not trying to take anything away from your hot streak either... big ups for sure.

Paranoid schizophrenia - These persons are very suspicious of others and often have grand schemes of persecution at the root of their behavior. Halluciations, and more frequently delusions, are a prominent and common part of the illness.
Ever been diagnosed with this? Why don't you get yourself a professional help.
LMAO!!
nice pronk

great insight, thanks for sharing your indepth analysis of this game
you won't hear me hound anyone for just posting their picks and give even the most brief reason why...but keep bringing up infamous banned users names and i will always be here playing copper.
i'm sure you all have CK's email address, so don't bring that crap here...all CT-staff and MOD's would agree with me on this point.

why was CK banned anyway??? my understanding is he gave good insight and was bashed by some and stuck up for himself, then was put in rehab, then let out.......then just vanished? wtf??
if i can't even say his name in a forum then ban me too.

alright... so i took a look at past matchups between the spurs and lakers it looks good for laker backers. The lakers have won 3 of the 4 series against the spurs and in each case, they closed the series out in the game immediately following their 3rd win of the series. 2004 they won game 5 IN san antonio and closed game 6 at home 88-76 (winning 4 straight to close the series). 2001, they swept the spurs, blowing them out by double digits in every game except game 2 (in SA) which was 88-81. My favorite example is 2002 they won game 4 IN san antonio by 2 (87-85) and closed out game 5 at home 93-87. Now before you say "oh look, SA covered game 5 in the same situation there are a lot of key notes on the differences here.. this is a better laker team (arguable i know, but statistically for sure) and a worse spurs team. here's some stats...
2002: Lakers ppg = 101.3, with a scoring margin of +7.2
Spurs ppg = 96.7, scoring margin +6.2
2008: Lakers ppg = 108.6, scoring margin +7.3
Spurs ppg = 95.4, scoring margin +4.8
2002: Lakers record 58-24
Spurs record 58-24, (road record: 26-15), road ppg = 95.4
road points against: 91.3 (+4.1)
2008: Lakers record 57-24 (more competition this year)
Spurs record 56-26, (road record: 22-19), road ppg = 92.8, road points against: 92.7 (+.1)
that 2002 spurs squad had more scoring options... stephen jackson, malik rose, steve smith, david robinson (parker and duncan too obviously for the core)
*I know the lakers lost against them in 2003, but that was the year after the lakers bickering "dream team" was disbanded (semi-rebuilding year) and the spurs were WITH stephen jackson, david robinson, malik rose, steve smith, and the first year for the big three (enter manu); Also, they were never down in that series, never looking like the inferior team, this year they have blown a big lead, been blown out, been handled at home... indicative of a definitively inferior team
OTHER points:
-the years of the lakers wins in 2001, 2004 the spurs had the same road record as 2002, give and take a game respectively. Also the spurs had a much better scoring margin than the lakers at +7.8 to +3.4 in 2001 and +7.2 to +3.9 in 2004.
-for those that might say these are different teams, there are reasons not to put much credence in that... these are the same coachs (phil vs. pop), same core team leaders (kobe/fish vs. duncan/parker), this years laker team is a much better scoring team, much less selfish, they have a much improved kobe, who is now a facilitator as well as a scorer. Lakers have comparable size, while the spurs have less size. Spurs have 3 scorers and a bunch of scrubs who rarely contribute (barry won't get 20 in LA), lakers have 4 primary scorers (pau, odom, d-fish, kobe) and a boat load of guys who have scored double digits in this series ... vlad rad, sasha vujacic, jordan farmar. on the whole their bench has consistently outscore the spurs, (the barry thing game 4 is an anomoly because he got starting minutes, and finley and oberto got more pine time), the lakers have outrebounded the spurs in every game except game 3 where they were outrebounded by 1... totals on those two
-lakers bench avg = 23.75 ppg, spurs = 20.5 (if you sub manu for barry in game 4 the avg is 16.5, more realistic when you consider barry's role in game 4)
-lakers rebounds avg =43.25, spurs = 38.5
i actually have more data, but i'm tired of typing and if you aren't with me yet, i'm not going to convince you.... spurs scored over 91 once in this series... at home... their bench is a no show on the road and the lakers bench shines at home...

that's what I'm talking about... much respect for your hot streak, i've been watching your posts (and honestly i don't read many posts on here unless i think they know what they're talking about... i make my own decisions and only watch people who do the same) but last night was a little example of being so hot you catch some luck in your streak... everything pointed to BOS -6 and that was the winner until Boston started playing like the Phoenix Suns...throwing up dumbass shots, making dumbass passes, pushing the pace and freaking out like they weren't in the driver's seat.
I forgot the Suns are the only team in the league that do these kinds of things.......
