Ur right. To take it a step further, I have blindly followed many opinions on this board, and while it is my own fault and I blame nobody but myself, I have come to the conclusion that there is much more misinformation on here than quality information. I would caution all who come on here to be very careful with what you come across on here.

I agree with you Niner to some degree but I still like to know what the public is on. The percentages do matter to me and sometimes the big public win and sometimes they lose. Blindly betting against the public doesn't work. Picking your spots to bet against the public is what I like to do.

Another myth. The public wins every day. They don't win every game, and that is the problem with this line of thinking. It's nowhere near a sure thing going against the public on a given game.
I agree Bigniner to basically hold a team's popularity against them and label them a public team and to fade based on that shows a lack of willing to do research as to why to "Really" go against the niners.
For me I learned last week I bet on an inexperienced QB in Dalton over a veteran QB in Rivers. So lessoned learned. applied the same logic to saints+8 and it pushed but if I would of caught it at tip off I probably could of caught it at+9 or 10. Cam Newton to me is a great quarterback but lets be honest (it's his first playoff) give him a break. Rivera vs Harbaugh? Really? i take Harbough and that defense. Plus it was a cool revenge spot for niners to beat carolina in front of their fans the way they did in SF.
I took the team with better experience over inexperience. Hence Niners-PK.
Panthers 9-6 ATS 60% 12-4 overall much respect to Cam this year he did a lot with what he had this year.

Ah yes and the other people who claim to know about everything and post Joe public this, Joe public that without any real insight whatsoever on either side. Except of course for a ludicrous score that they post and then come on after the game to talk about how great they are and how they actually won a big game or two.
Big Niner much respect to what you do and I don't value many people's opinions on here, especially NFL and just like to be nice if possible and talk in-depthly about games, but I truly just look for the little insight I can use to help me finalize a play at times. Great job as always man and will more than likely be against you next week even though I have waited 4 this game for a long time to materialize!

Another example as to why it would be best to ignore this nonsense.
Hey wait, you didn't use the words "sharps" and "steam" in your post. You must not know anything about gambling. These people on Covers are so confused as to who the real sharps are I swear sometimes they bet both sides of a game and hope for a tie.

when you guys mentioned about public, who are the public? us?
I don't think casinos would give out the correct public percentages, how often you see the percentage is updated? and most of the time gamblers bet rite before the games start. Everyone looking at the public percentage and bet the opposite, end up everyone on one side.

People need to understand that when there's a large consensus on a game during the regular season (with 32 possible sides to choose from) its completely different from a large consensus in the playoffs (with only 8 possible sides to choose from). There will almost always be a consensus when the possibilities are so low.

Agreed!!!! Show me accurate side and money %'s and I'll kiss ur a s s and rename myself Sally. In other words, the chance of someone on Covers knowing this is about as slick as Otter s h I t. Again, it's basically weekend warriors here and there with a few drinks mixed in throughout.

It almost seems like they were trying to sucker sharps or wannabes into taking Carolina. OMG how is it only a pick em with 12977% of he bets on sf, that must mean Carolina is better! This board was flooded with wannabes blindly vouching for Carolina based on that, and every insider show was vouching Carolina as the "sharp" play. Last week kc was the "smart money" play with the interesting line.
