Esox go back to watching baseball.
I'll bet you a thousand dollars Thomas Jones does NOT rush for a 1000 yards this sesaon. You have got 2 choices. You can step up or walk away like a bitch. You tell me what its going to be punk.

I'll take that 1000 bet. And yes, I watched the SB punk. CB coughed up the ball at midfield, at a costly time, when we could have drove and went up 21-6 perhaps. Then the Bears D holds Indy, they punt to the Bears 5, then CB again, runs up the gut for no gain, and being embarrassed cuz he is a cocky (per his teammates), he sits the rest of the game. I mean he didn't require any surgery to his knee and he seemed to be walking fine on it after the game. check it!

Jones is good with a good O-Line but would be bad without a good one. He doesn't have exceptional breakaway speed or power. He follows blockers and can be shifty at times. He's also pretty reliable with the ball and can catch it. He's not a difference-maker type guy that will amaze you though he's solid. Again, if he has a good offense around him he can fit in well, but if you ask him to do a lot on his own or be a huge differencemaker it's not going to happen. He doesn't do anything exceptionally well or exceptionally poor.
Benson has a chance to be much more of a difference maker though. Much higher ceiling, though not tested yet. Durability is a ?

Can I get a mod for a witness on this bet so when he loses and dosen't pay me you can at least ban him.

ok......what everyone is forgetting is that Jones was in the last year of his deal. Obviously, they weren't going to sign him to a long-term deal after this season...Angelo has too much invested in Benson. Everyone in the NFL knew this. To move up over 20 spots in the second round is a great get for the Bears.....seriously, was there another move out there besides releasing him like the Ravens did to Jamal Lewis? I haven't heard any one suggest that the Bears could have gotten anything more than they did.
It is clear the Bears want Benson as their #1 and Jones put up with it before last season. He would have been a bad apple in the locker room just like he was in Arizona when he was demoted to 2nd string.
By having the 31 & 37 picks now, Angelo puts himself in position to trade up into the top 10.
Finally, I don't want anyone to think I believe Jones isn't a good back...he is but then again....you know his ceiling....around 1200 yards 7 rushing tds and 30 receptions. Benson's ceiling is way higher if he is the featured back. Angelo and the Bears feel it is worth the risk even though Benson has a history of injuries in the NFL.
time(2-3 seasons) will tell which side got the better part of the deal

I know that he was in the last year of his contract, but it doesn't change the fact that he has avg. around 1300 yards for the past 3 years. It's a big loss however you cut it. Yes, you move up to the 37th pick but like I said, it's no guarantee that you will draft someone of Jones' caliber. He is a sure thing that is proven to be an above average back.
I will be VERY surprised if Angelo, the cheap a$$ that he is, trades up and gets a top ten stud.
As of right now, the Jets made out and many of the experts agree on this.

Was a big loss, but Benson proved he can be very good. Don't have any questions about his durability right now, and he will get a little rest with Peterson or with someone we draft. Has more upside, but you knew what you were getting with Jones so he will be missed. Wasn't a breakaway runner, but got the tough yards.
Wish we would have gotten more, but apparently this was the best offer. Still did better than McGahee trade. I'm sure we will use the pick wisely and pick up somebody who can help us at safety or DT.

Angelo does not know how to draft offensive players. He had the same problem down in Tampa Bay didn't he. They were always strong on Defense but never that great on Offense.
