"Ever since the start of Thursday Night Football, road teams travelling farther than 1,500 miles for a game if they just played on sunday are 0-14 ATS and 0-14 SUALL TIME"
(now 1-14 ATS & SU after TB beat Minni)
roughly 1600 miles from KC to Qualcomm stadium.
Pick: SD ?
<snip>
Interesting stat. I'm leaning KC but not comfortable with it.
I could be wrong.....but I don't think teams have a good success rate when it comes to beating division opponents by DD twice in the same season. Anyone have the stats for that?

was at charles tillman foundation dinner last night with alot bears D players & they said they were just flat after quick turn after MNF game against hated division foe detroit. They are well aware of stacking wins against teams they are suppose to beat with November schedule coming...houston, 49ers, vikes. if there is loss coming its 49ers, where they typically play very poorly out there.
Very true. Friends out here (49er fans) are already talking shit - expecting a loss due to our horrendous play over the past 20 years @ Candlestick.

Yeah that Panthers Bears game was the textbook definition of a "letdown game", after their win over a div. rival on MNF. I wonder how teams typically perform on the game after a letdown game?

So the Bears playing next Sunday night vs Texans & then flying out to San Fran for a Monday night game the following week arent look ahead games?? It seems that some of you flip coins to pick your games...............& now the Bears are only -3 at Titans................hmmm..........okay!

Have all you guys forgot about the DETROIT LIONS??? C'mon man! That's the easiest play on the board fellas...I had them last week against Seahawks too! Take a deep look at Detroit fellas! BOL to everyone on your plays!

The game that intrigues me the most is the Eagles Saints. Will Vick play? Let's say he does, I like over and Saints-3 Let's say he doesn't, I may like the under thinking a rookie QB will be handing off a lot (like Vick should be doing) to their stud RB McCoy.
I think there may be value grabbing Saints-3 right now, I am thinking if they do announce Vick is benched, line goes up to 5,6 at least. That is my opinion anyway, curious to see what you guys think.

"Home teams going into their bye week with a spread of 0 to -6 this year are 0-8 ATS and 15-43 (25.8%) ATS the past 14 years."
(0-9 now after NYJ loss. made me $$$ last week. Thanks )
Pick CAR & BAL ?
(Baltimore is on a run of 9-1 ATS over its last ten post-bye week games. & dogs are 9-1 ATS in Car & Was games)
Teams who are losing by 10 or more points after the 3Q and win the game are 4-12 ATS the following week the past 5 years. In road games that drops to just 2-7 ATS

Bears have a two game lead in their division and are facing the 6-1 Texans, 6-2 49ers, and the 5-3 Vikings (divisional opponent) after the 3-5 Titans. Without a question they don't care much if at all for this game

Betting a veteran team the first game without their QB is one of the best bets you can make in the NFL. I won my play of the year last year when Vick was announced out and Vince Young was named the starter for 1 game. Unloaded on them against the Giants ML and +6 and they won by a touchdown. If Vick is announced out i'll pound the Eagles here.

Correction, was thinking you were saying Vick would be out due to injury. Forgot they were contemplating benching him. Different mindset but veteran teams always rally behind a fallen soldier to prove they can win without them. Each player usually puts 110% effort in these situations

Well, that is interesting, but being a Giants fan I know that game well, and we were injured in our LB and DB's and Vince young was not a rookie playing his first game on a Monday night in New Orleans against Drew Brees. Giants can be the most dominate team in the league and the Eagles could be the worst and still somehow they find a way to beat us, lol. Now, my guess is this was not the only game you won under this scenario, so I would love to hear another. But you are talking about a rookie QB on Monday night, in New Orleans against a Drew Brees lead team that desperately needs a win. That doesn't bother you?

Lions in a terrible spot here. Jags aren't good but look up the stats for road non-conference games the week before a road divisional game. I'll tell you right now the numbers aren't pretty

What if Vick is playing?
I've made similar bets over recent years and it has been money. Off the top of my head I remember that game and the Steelers game last year. First game without Rothlisburger they were underdogs to the Falcons in ATL i believe and held them to 9 points and won the game when every1 counted them out. Make sure to read my second post just below that one though I corrected myself as Vick might be benched, not injured which I thought at first glance

Arizona / Green Bay.
I smell a blow out game again to Cards from Lambeau field. The line tells it
all.
Baltimore/ Cleveland.Like Ravens money line only!. To cover
3.5 is looked TOO Easy for Ravens IMO. When the last time Ravens blow out
Cleveland on the raod?. Baside, Cleveland Brown have been playing good football
lately at home.
Carolina/
Washington. Good match-up for QBs……Cam Newton vs. RGIII……What’s else you asking
for…..will slice to Cam Newton side…Doggy
will bark this one. RGIII is no Jesus….Tebow is.
The game that really stand out to me this week is Vikings vs.
Seahawks; personally, I would grab
Seahawks with -3.5 –As we all are expecting the line will jump up to 6
points by game time. Good opportunity for middle landing.Seattle
wins by 4.
