Prime, I think you should have waited for the Bulls to lose the 1st game before making this bet. Here are my thoughts:
So now, you're drawing a line between coaches who are "iconic", and master motivators, and those who aren't? That's pretty subjective, and hard to quantify. Therefore, the "lame-duck" angle has little value when capping a game, or a series, IMO. And, as poster GeneCam pointed out, the Bulls' blowout win last game vs Bucks is evidence that they haven't quit on their coach. In fact, that 54 point margin of victory may qualify Thibodeau as a 'master motivator'.
The larger point, consideration of intangibles, is a good one. Teams' motivation.....morale.....confidence.....energy.....intelligence .....poise.....'killer instinct'....etc are legit factors, and fun to discuss.

I, too, think the Bulls will be motivated. But I wonder about their focus, or 'killer instinct' ? (not to be confused with quitting on their coach) The fact that they didn't finish off the Bucks in Game 5, at home, is big red flag for me.
