So we are on a 4 day profit streak, 2-0 on 6 unit plays and things are riding high. Hoping to make it a 5 day profit streak today. Almost had the streak come to an end yesterday thanks to the refs in the Nuggets/Warriors game. That was definitely a close one. Here we go with todays plays.
Phoenix Suns +105 over Toronto Raptors for 1 units
It seems the Raptors team who is better than their record continues to face teams at the worst possible time and see the best of teams, not because they are facing the Raptors but because of intangables that happen before the Raptors play them. The Phoenix Suns just faced their worst defeat since 1988. This is what shows a good coach from a bad one and I like Alvin Gentry, I think he will get the Suns fired up and focused for tonights matchup against the Raptors who unfortunately will lose again not because they are bad but because they face a team under tough circumstances.
Washington Wizards +12.5 over New York Knicks for 2 units
I see value in this line. Wizards come off their first win and if they were going to put a string of wins together teams normally do after they win their first game after a big drought. Knicks have lost 3 of their last 5 games and have come back down to earth after flying out of the gates. Im not saying the Wizards will win but I think they will keep it closer than 12.5 points. Ill take the Wizards for 2 units.
Cleveland Cavaliers +9 over Atlanta Hawks for 2 units
Cleveland finally did not cover a game without Kyrie Irving after covering 4 straight. I think they go back to covering ATS tonight as they face an Atlanta Hawks team that has won 6 in a row but is 3-3 ATS over that period of time. I believe Cleveland's last ATS loss was only because they returned home after facing and putting up a fight against the Heat and the Grizzlies but losing both matchups which were winnable. Losing against league leaders like those teams on the road by such small margins and coming home to face the Phoenix Suns leads to flat performances. Expect Cleveland to cover 9 points tonight!
Detroit Pistons +11 over Memphis Grizzlies for 2 units
The Pistons just pounded the Suns last game and I think that's the confidence they needed to put up a good fight against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight. To over achieve and play better than what they are against a team that may take them for granted here. Memphis has won 5 in a row against Detroit and are 5-0 ATS against them. They have won 11 of their last 12 games overall it will be difficult to get up and blow out the Pistons tonight.
Milwaukee Bucks +120 over Minnesota Timberwolves for 4 units
My favorite play today. Milwaukee has won 4 of last 5 meetings between the 2 teams. Minnesota is still adjusting to having Kevin Love in the lineup and they have only won 1 game since his return. Love looked like his hand isn't fully recovered yet as he kept grabbing his hand last game and missing shots. I think Milwaukee had a mini fart in the 4 game span but will be back to winning tonight. I'm on the Bucks for 4 units!
