NEW JERSEY +11.5 ( 3 units ) Too many points to be laying in my opinion. Does an 18 and 19 point win at New Jersey and Toronto justify a sharp boost in the point spread value. My answer is NO! Here's the problem I have with Philly !!! Yes they do play great defense but don't do much in the paint on offense. They have a nice quartet of guards ( Holiday, Meeks, Williams and Turner ) who can get hot at any time and but the fact of the matter is that their a one dimensional team. Basically fire from the perimeter use a lot of the shot clock and get back on defense. They don't have an inside game and that's why their dead last in the league with 17 free throw attempts per game. The Sixers play well with the lead but if it's a close or they start falling behind they begin to rely on the trey. This is why they've had multiple sub 40 point second half scoring games. Wallace is out for the Nets, No biggy for me. This is a recent revenge game and a total fade on Philly.
WASHINGTON +10.5 ( 3 units ) OK NO AMARE NO LIN !!! So we already know this. Carmelo is 40 for 76 from the field in New York's last 3 games. He's taken approximately one third of the Knicks shots. You might be able to get away with this in the short run but when you start laying DDs it becomes a recipe for disaster. The Wizards just put B2B wins together and are trying for three in row for the first time this season. With Miami and Boston on deck for the Knicks in the next two games i just can see New York covering this one.
DETROIT +5 ( 2 units ) HOUSTON -4 ( 1 unit ) ATLANTA -1.5 ( 1 unit ) TORONTO +7.5 ( 1 unit )
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A GREAT SPORTS BETTING WEEKEND. PEACE
