its only good value if there is actually a realistic chance of it happening.now whilst anything is possible in sports and ya can never say 100 % guaranteed that this cant happen or that cant happen, its as close to zero% chance that lakers win the west, added to another pretty low % that they better the heat in a finals series giving away home-court advantage.
its all very well reeling off names gavinnick but ya gotta justify it by seeing wats behind the names-artest...highly over-rated currently, not the defender he once was and more or less a chucker on offense.nash...another dude whos best years are behind him,its a lot of years gone past since he was the mvp u may b regarding him as.he can still contribute for sure but on a team with kobe he doesnt hav a clearly defined role, seems out of place, and we 2 thirds of the way thru the season now!!howard...clearly hugely affected by the back injury he suffered,i wud say he is less than 70% healthy and that mite b generous.again he can contribute but he sure as hell aint the same dynamic, dominant super-freak that we hav seen in the past and clearly has sum well documented emotional short-comings.kobe...playing unbelievable for a dude his age(or any age 4 that matter),but surely all this heavy lifting is gonna wear him out big-time by the time the pointy end of the season rolls around.hes a brilliant player, but still human.gasol...has already hinted that he will most likely always b adversely affected by his on-going knee issues and will b rusty on returning and yet another guy"lost" on court without a role that he feels comfortable in with this particular coach.
and of course the bench is laughable.
wen it all boils down the squad as a whole is clearly deficient in a number of areas including overall defense(kinda important rite??),quickness/athleticism/footspeed,turnover rate and most importantly chemistry, tho improving in that area.
and lets not forget they gotta do it going away, taking homecourt away from 3 teams in a row out of a group of spurs, thunder, clippers, grizzlies, nuggets etc...thats tough to do,even 4 a resilient, tough, playoff tested group dats been 2gether a long while...which this team isnt by the way.
all those teams know of lakers well documented weaknesses and will attack them with ferocity and most likely run over the top of them in a 7 game series.
of course this is all just looking at it logically and going on wat we know presently.but all kinds of weird s h i t can and will happen in sports,i seen it before a million times and no doubt will see it again.
but my appraisal is that for sumthing that has a one in a thousand chance of happening, like a lakers championship, there is no value to be had in a 30 to 1 return.
in saying all this i wish nothing but the best for your bet gavinnick and hope it comes in for your sake as its no skin off my nose if u are laughing your arse off all the way 2 the bank...so good luck my man.go lakers!!!!...i guess
