Everything points to the Red Sox taking down the World Series. I played a lot of fantasy baseball for dough this season, and I wouldn't touch a starting pitcher against the Sox. This Sox offense has so much pop.
I just reviewed the 2013 regular season batting metrics for NL/AL and the Sox are literally at the top of every metric. You can argue DH skews the #s in favor of AL, blah blah blah - I'm not buying it.

A short-handed Dodgers team simply beat themselves against the Cards. They got incredibly unlucky in losing both Games 1 & 2 in St. Louis. A whole slew of the worst-timed double plays, errors, and base running blunders throughout each loss. Plus, Hanley was hurt and shouldn't have even been playing in the series. Even with all of that, the Dodgers were still right there with them in each game.
Cards won't catch any of those breaks with the Sox who are 100% healthy and playing with a ton of confidence and an enormous homefield advantage.
Lay heavy on the Sox series price. Cards offense is filled with numerous quick, auto-outs and they're especially bad on the road. Sox won't give Beltran anything to hit and he's not hitting with runners on anyway. Cards won't have a chance in Boston since they have little power and it'll be cold. They'll also lose at least 1 of their games in St. Louis.
Cards rotation is very questionable after Wainwright and Wacha. And remember Wacha only went 64 innings during the season. Kelly and Lynn will both get bombed with the junk they throw. If Matheny were smart, he'd figure out a way to skip at least one of them, but he's a terrible manager who specializes in choking in the postseason, so he'll mess it up somehow.
Their bullpen is their biggest strength, but they won't be holding leads, so that neutralizes them.
Dodgers are the superior overall team and would've made for a great Series, just wasn't meant to be with major injuries to two of their best players and a series of very unlucky events in each of their losses.
Sox beat Cards 4-1 or 4-2 at worst.
What a post
I TOTALLY agree with your series prediction also No way it goes past 6. Gonna place wagers on CORRECT series results which prices should be much better considering how even odds are
Sox the much better team here, kinda shocked LA didn't make it, would have been much more EVEN series
