Brewers are now +130. What made you think the line would go in the other direction?
I guess JEG is not going to make it back so I will let the
cat out of the bag. What the heck, no one ever remembers anyway. Every team
there are one or two “bad teams” that are ugly on the surface and overall but
are death to left handed pitchers. Noone notices because teams usually face
about 20% left handed starters and the stats get buried in the overall numbers,
but I track and utilize that type of thing. Call it an angle if you like but if
so it is one heck of a powerful angle. The Brewers are 21-14 on the season
versus lefty and 6-2 out of the break, including last weekend when I had them
against Brault and Liriano and they cruised home easily in both games. Some
good handicappers around here were playing Pittsburgh that weekend based on
their being the “better team”. They weren’t. The Pirates going into the Sunday
game were a 47% winner versus righty and the Brewers were 57% versus lefty,
with home field advantage and at a +$ price. Now
they are a 60% team versus a 37.5% team (overall, versus righty), and 7-15 when
Corbin takes the ball, 1-9 at home.
Do you really think they should be favored? Why didn’t the deep pocket money
catch on? I don’t know but that was why I had a reasonable expectation of the
line moving against the Brewers. BOL
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

I mistakenly thought bettors, at least those with serious
money, would wake up to what I have been making money on for a couple of weeks.
But, silly me, sometimes it goes on for a whole season. I won’t tell, but maybe
if JEG drops by he will tell you, because he has seen it for a long time and
should be able to guess. Maybe you can read my recent posts regarding the Brewers
or research them yourself, but I am going to let it remain a riddle.
