Angels-Indians Under 9.5, -116, FG, Chavez / Clevinger
BOL
IMHO Clevinger is still undervalued and despite the return of Mike Trout the Angels offense is still not good. The Tribe’s offense is good, but no juggernaut. I think the Tribe will also remain very aggressive as they can feel the Royals breathing down their necks.
The weather tonight should be a comfortable 73, partly cloudy, and a 10-mph breeze blowing in from right-center, a small impediment to left handed hitters trying to go deep on righty pitchers. Not much, but a consideration worth noting.

Key it's a bit less interesting since it's just you and I on the wager for who's charity gets a 100 bucks? So may I propose that I send your charity ( if you would be so kind to send the link again) $100 ! Just because you decided to do something that I felt was so genuinely nice!

Can you please explain how Clevinger is undervalued?
His ERA is 2.73 but his SIERA is 4.28, which means he's pitching way better than advanced numbers indicate he should be and regression is probably on it's way. He also has a 12.6% BB rate, which is the 3rd worst of any pitcher pitching tonight. I just don't see where the value is taking him at that price, but GL tonight.

As much as you believe in regression then you must also believe it happens TODAY. I consider that a weak argument against what the man appears to be RIGHT NOW. Have you been fading Scherzer or Sale because a few years ago they weren't as respected as they are RIGHT NOW? What you choose to believe in is your business, do as you like, but don't bring me your SABRmetric advanced projections and tell me they have to happen today, right now.
BTW: That is about all you ever have to contribute, an occasional look at (possible) future regression. Tunnel vision?

I have a plan in mind, regardless of the outcome, but stuff like that is sort of fun to track. Be patient, I will get back to you with my idea. I will try to get an update done today.

I mean, the fact that you don't use it at all is partially a reason why you can't get in the black this year. To not understand that Advanced Stats are a key future indicator on performance is just living in the 1990s. I don't think I've seen you once take a pitcher with a worse ERA than his opponent. Living in the ERA world will never make you money.
"As much as you believe in regression then you must also believe it happens TODAY."
This could not be further from the truth. Regression means going forward, not necessarily today's game. You yourself love to try to gain "value" on your plays, so all I'm saying is taking a pitcher pitching much better than his stats indicate he should be pitching just isn't a way to gain value betting baseball. It is actually the exact opposite and what books want you to do.
