wow! this should be an amazing football game... no idea who to take... Colt McCoy has looked incredible this year!
but how has the Texas running game looked. Sam Bradford and Colt Mccoy are both good qbs. But Ou's running game looks more dependable with the 1/2/3 punch of Demarco Murray, Chris Brown, and Madu

I like UT at -7.....Texas has the defense to keep them in it, just so long as the offense limits turnovers.....OU should win but i think 4 or 5 points is about right

And DD a little advice......If you don't want to be known as the absolute biggest Homer in these threads please don't say you'll take OU no matter what the spread....You lose all credibility...
Tell you what....I'll give you the Sooners here and you give me 21.....I'm being really generous since you said you'd take the Sooners no matter what the line...
That said this will not be an easy game for OU....Colt McCoy has added a speed and toughness dimension that he didn't have last year.....I'm still not sold on Sooner D....Won't be till they play a good O...UT will have a running QB that will cut up field when he's rushed..And he's capable of cutting up field for a bunch of yards....Bradford just can't do that....
Look for UT to emphasize the pass rush and blitz often...And let's see how well Sooner D can contain UT O....Scares me that OU still really hasn't played anyone...And I don't want to hear anything about TCU and them leading the country in D....Forget that....

i wouldn't mind getting in some teaser action on this one... Tx (+27) sound fair?
JW... i am really impressed when i watch McCoy... i wasn't the biggest fan, but his decision making is really incredible right now... guy seems like he can do no wrong...
not to say Bradford isn't playing great also... just a bit more impressed with McCoy...
i am really looking forward to watching this one... this is what CFB is all about!

OU 27
UT 24
Are you Serious? a little advice? you are an absolute MORON for giving betting advice to a wagerer that lives in Oklahoma. You probably haven't seen either team play much this year at all. Dude, I predicted every win/loss for OU back in the mid 90's before Stoops even got there. feel free to think it's a 3 point swing. There are some NFL scouts that are calling for OU to dominate. It doesn't matter that it's a neutral site. You might want to look up OU v Texas rivalry in wikipedia and analyze the trends for this matchup for this decade.

If the line comes up OU -7 I'm thinking it will shoot up to -10 before tipoff. I think if it opens OU -7 Vegas is cheating themselves. look up my posts for the OU v TCU games and I had a few morons in there just trash my threads of OU covering for whatever reason.
People, this isn't the 2005 OU team that struggeled out the gate and played close with teams like Wash and flat out lost to TCU. This isn't the recent OU teams that lost 2 in a row to Texas and even lost after Vince Young left. This OU team is closer to the 2000 team that won it all and the 2004 team that shredded people. Actually this team is closer to the 2004 team in terms of execution. Having said that.....INTERESTING STAT ou has outscored people 103-3 in the 1st quarter this year so far. Holy moley. yeah, I know Texas has only allowed 9 points this season in the 1st quarter for their opponents.
takin OU -7 with no hesitation if that's the opening line. I'm willing go -10 if need be.

Keys to game: Look for OU to employ their no huddle offense. Look for OU to run, run, run, their trio of Rbs in Demarco Murray, Brown, and Madu
For Texas look for Mccoy to throw deep into OU's secondary and scramble for yards to keep it 3rd and short. Overall this does have the feel of being close by halftime. By the end of the 3rd quarter is when you will probably have a team pull ahead. I've seen too many of these OU v Texas rivalry games and I bet some of you all in here haven't. I've called alot of them this decade in terms of the spread.

worst case scenario OU by 8. either way I don't see OU losing this one at all. OU is too focused and has too much firepower. I think this is one of the best OU teams that Stoops has ever had. I can't say that about this Texas team. Some sports experts in Oklahma think this is the 2nd best OU team Stoops has ever had. Whether or not OU wins it all will give us the final answer on that. Regardless this isn't a bowl game and OU normally comes up big time against Texas in the Stoops era

So DD.....OU to employ the No-Huddle? With that kind of inside info you must be best friends with Bob Stoops....
Run, Run, Run? When did you see them do that last? This Sooner O Line excels at pass blocking....They do not excel at blowing open holes ala the days of Peterson and Patrick...In fact the run game has been somewhat of a weakness this year...They won't have any more success against UT D....
I see McCoy doing a lot more than scrambling to make it 3rd and short....McCoy could gain close to 100 yards when it's all over with....This game will be a nail-biter....UT could win outright....
And yeah yeah.....you obviously are the only one on this board who follows the Sooners....
