Take a look at who both teams have played. Memphis hasn't played a team that could beat anybody Louisville has played. Louisville by 14-17 spread.

It may not be a Big East game, but the fans of these two schools plain don't like each other. The Cards and Tigers were longtime rivals in the Metro conference and Conference USA, and it's the first time the teams have played since Louisville jilted C-USA for the Big East in 2005. That'll add a little extra spice to the occasion.
Louisville
PLAYERS TO WATCH
CB Woody Turenne -- The senior cornerback has two interceptions this season, already doubling his output of a year ago. He's looked a lot stronger in Ron English's new-look defense, and will be challenged again by the Memphis passing game.
Ks Chris Philpott and Ryan Payne -- Either the true freshman or the redshirt freshman will be the kicker this week for a squad that right now has no confidence in its field goal unit. The winner can stake a strong claim to the job, and make the Cardinals fans breathe a whole lot easier, by making the 3-pointer a reliable part of the team's arsenal again.
WR Doug Beaumont -- Beaumont has been the Cardinals leading receiver this season, and a big weapon for quarterback Hunter Cantwell. But Scott Long's return may limit the number of touches he has this week and in the weeks to come.
Quarterback Hunter Cantwell sprained his ankle against Connecticut, but should be ready to go this week against Memphis.
Memphis......
SCOUTING THE OFFENSE
Memphis ranks third in the league in total offense (462.7 yards per game) and rushing (190.5) and fifth in passing (272.2).The Tigers are 23-for-26 in the red zone and have allowed only seven sacks through six games.
SCOUTING THE DEFENSE
The Tigers have already tallied 33 tackles for loss and rank second in the conference with 14 quarterback sacks. They rank third in the league against the pass (203.2 yards per game) and sixth against the run (170.5).
QUOTE TO NOTE
"We've kind of got our swagger back. We've got our groove back. Now we've just got to keep it going." -- Memphis junior quarterback Arkelon Hall to the Commercial Appeal.
Memphis is renewing a rivalry with Louisville after a three-year break on Friday night, but those are distant -- if not nonexistent -- memories for most of the Tigers.
None of the current players at Memphis (3-3) participated in the most recent meeting in 2004, a 56-49 victory by the Cardinals before a Liberty Bowl crowd of 52,384. Several current Tigers were on the sidelines as redshirt freshman, but the only one who has ever faced Louisville is running back Charlie Jones -- when he was still with Miami in 2006.
The Tigers are more familiar with Cardinals head coach Steve Kragthorpe, however. As the head coach at Tulsa, he led his team to wins against Memphis in 2005 and 2006.
Louisville (2-2) has not played since a 26-21 loss to Connecticut on Sept. 26.
"This will be the best team that we have played all season," Tigers head coach Tommy West said. "They're extremely good up front on both sides of the ball. Their offensive and defensive lines will be the best that we have played against. We have our work cut out for us. I told our guys that we're going to have to take a step up in this game. We're going to have to play like men."
The Cardinals hold a narrow 21-19 edge in the all-time series, including a 56-49 victory in their most recent meeting in 2004. Louisville (2-2) hasn't played on the road this season and is coming off a bye week. The Cards are led by Victor Anderson with 421 rushing yards and five TDs.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
RB Curtis Steele -- He has rushed for 413 yards during the Tigers' three-game winning streak, averaging 7.4 yards per carry over that span.
WR Carlos Singleton -- The 6-8 junior has averaged 15.8 yards per reception and 87.0 receiving yards per game this season with two 100-yard contests.
DT Clinton McDonald -- The C-USA sack leader registered 5.5 of his 6.5 sacks in the last two games. He ranks second in the league with seven tackles for loss.
ROSTER REPORT
--K Vinny Zaccario, a freshman walk-on filling in for injured starter Matt Reagan, was named C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week after hitting a game-winning field goal with two seconds left at UAB. It was the Tigers' first win in Birmingham since 1999.
--RB Charlie Jones is questionable for the Louisville game with a high ankle sprain that kept him on the sidelines last weekend. The Miami transfer has rushed 41 times for 204 yards (5.0-yard average) and a team-high six touchdowns this season.
Just laying some notes down here..........

Dude, look at the what "everybody" was saying about the Clemson/Wake game. The line moved 4 points and everybody wanted Clemson before it was too late, Wake still covered. Wake lost to Navy, had to be "outclassed" by Clemson, right? Wake still covered.
I'm taking memphis.
