Upon further reshearch, I think La Tech has a chance to beat the spread. They beat defectors Fresno St & Nevada but lost to Hawaii.
No bet on the side, but still going with the over.
Wow, this is mind buggling with the conference realignment. Teams getting invite across the country. IT IS ALL ABOUT $$$$. Can you imagine USC going to SEC in the future?

I agree with you holtnt. The trap is the spread and taking ltech. Tcu knew they were screwed when they lost to smu back in october so i dont think they expected much better than what they got. They will take out any frustration on this team they might have...it might be 34-10 by half! TCU and OV for the large!!!!

Creer has been declared ineligible for the game because of academics (4 days ago). Louisiana Tech leading rusher Lennon Creer will not be eligible for
Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl, according to Tech sports information
director Patrick Walsh.
Creer didn't play
in Tech's last two victories over Nevada or New Mexico State, but Walsh
said Creer didn't become academically ineligible until after the
season-finale against New Mexico State.
Walsh said Creer has not been practicing and will not make the trip to San Diego.
Just based off that information, I'd lean TCU. Tank Carder should have enough in his "tank" to stop this offense and put pressure on this QB. Colby Cameron will keep it close 1st half, but TCU runs away with it 2nd.

I still can't forget that la tech lost to hawaii. They haven't played a well balanced squad like tcu all year. Forget that they were close vs. houston who clearly showed they have no defense whatsoever. Tcu wins big here.

I'm having a sl-o-o-o-o-o-o-w start to the Bowl season (1-3) , so take this with a fade in mind...
TCU is just better in almost every aspect of this game. I guess it just depends on whether TCU is pissed about having to be in the Poinsettia Bowl. If they come out flat, La Tech might keep this close. I guess I'm counting on them being pissed...

seriously, who has La Tech played this year? Only team close to TCU caliber is Houston. I pulled the trigger on the over 56 and thinking of taking the Horny Toads as well.
