UT is a solid football team and their staff makes them worse than they are, UK has a good defense they are just still lacking depth once the season goes on. Both games Gators were expected to lose and were hard fought streak games against hungry opponents. Those streaks get harder and harder to keep each year. The game this weekend will be maybe the toughest because of the let down spot on the road and sandwich before going to Baton Rouge.
Tennessee has been a HUGE disappointment. Sorry, but 2-3 football teams are not good.
Kentucky has a good defense?
ask Lafayette and Eastern Kentucky if they have a good defense.... sorry, but Kentucky having a good defense is laughable.
Pump the brakes on Florida man....I'm telling you that you guys are not there yet. Just be patient..... They are improving, but let's not start twisting things and saying asinine comments like Kentucky has a good defense.

You need to watch them play because I already explained both situations. UK just came off two of their biggest home games ever and had an obvious let down and their depth issue is kicking in exactly when they got molly whopped by LSU last year. UK has a terrible QB and a bad offense, but their defense is much better than it's ever been. I never said UK's team was that good.
Same with UT, if you watch them play they have a very nice team and a very good offense that can pound it down peoples throat... but again, their staff is just downright embarrassing on game days, which is what I told everyone before the season started why they will never win games under Butch... but the talent and players is certainly not the issue in Knoxville, they get leads and go into a shell on offense on purpose, it's pathetic.
No one is annointing the Gators yet, but if you have been watching what we have the last 4 years there is no doubt we are excited with what we are seeing in year one and the Gators are already competing with the big boys of the West, which hasn't been done in years. We are excited because we have the right coach, and rightfully so because we just went through the most awful stretch in the history of coaching and QB play at the University of Florida and suffered through every second of it. Especially that Mizzou game last year where they had barely 100 yards of offense and were up 42-0 in the 3rd quarter. Gators need to keep their heads screwed on straight because this weeks game is maybe the biggest in the path to winning the East, especially if UGA loses this weekend.
Gators recruiting class is going to be absolutely monster in setting up the future and all our fans are excited, why shouldn't we be? No one thinks we are going to make the playoff or anything but making it to Atlanta and playing for the SEC Championship in year one is now a reality. No one expected that

Ive watched all 3. Kentucky,Florida and Tennessee...
Florida is slightly better than the others. But like I said..not by much.
28-27 an 14-9 will prove that.
I really dont want to hear excuses about how this team coming off this or that was this or that. Too many times people on here and the sheep watching espn say that same type of garbage.....and guess what? its garbage. Everybody plays games coming off this or that, those types of excuses are in the SEC handbook. Blah blah blah.... sorry wheels, not buying it.
If Clemson loses to Tech this weekend, it's just that...a LOSS. I dont want to hear about how Clemson had to come off an emotional win vs Notre Dame or any of that nonsense. If they lose, they lose. PERIOD....
Quit listening to the propaganda nonsense espn feeds you guys....and listen to Boom..He is smarter...JK, but really.

Whos making excuses? Espn has buried UF weekly and picked them to lose in every game this year until this week. Florida finally let Grier have the reigns and they found their identity and will improve each week on offense. The next few weeks will tell if Florida is as good as they played last week or somewhere in the middle from the first 4 games, either way they are looking solid and have a great staff trending them upward for the first time in years in Gainesville. They have two more massive opportunities coming up the next two weeks, if they win both these next games then we can start talking about contending for the SEC. LSU is garnering too much hype with a QB that can't throw and a one dimensional attack. I think he completed four passes against EMU. IF anyone is overrated and getting too much hype, it's LSU right now.

That 90 yard long td drive was the sweetest thing I've seen in a long long time. I've been waiting for one of those for 4 years. Gotta keep it going tho

UF is much improved. Grier is a solid college quarterback, a huge improvement over recent years. I think they beat Mo this weekend, but Mo just found their quarterback last weekend. Locke is far more solid than Mauk, even as a freshman, and there is nothing wrong with their defense. Should be a good game, I don't see a blowout.

Wahoo, Grier is above average. The Gators are a much improved team. I did not know that you thought you had to speak for Boom. Plus, that was a huge win against a solid Ole Miss squad. 38-10. Just because your team is inept, no reason to hate.
not my fight but Ole miss is not the same team it was when the season starter, since opening game they have lost 2 first round draftees. 2 starting defensive tackles 1 cornerback 1 linebacker and 3 offensive linemen TO say Ole Miss was a solid club is way off base, They have gone from being a possible 10-11 win team to being lucky to win 7 because of major injuries.
As far as Clemson. I don't know much they played about them but if they played in the S.E.C. west they would struggle to go 5-3 in conference play. That's not to say Clemson isn't a really good team but getting up twice a year in the ACC is a alot different than having to get up 6-8 games a year in the S.E.C..
I wouldn't mind seeing Clemson in the playoffs and they certainly can win enough games to do so in the ACC. I can also see the ACC being left out of the playoff to a one lost team from the pac 12 or the S.E.C. just my opinion.

This is a prime trap game for Florida this week end and they can easily be beaten by Mizzou. Although Florida is much better they can lose this game. I don't think FLorida covers the 5 1/2 point spread, but what do I know based on my awful record in picking S.E.C. games.

It's funny you say that Locke is far more solid than Mauk. I live an hour from Columbia and all I hear on sports radio is how the Tigers finally have a qb, this should have happened weeks ago, now the offense will look good again, blah blah blah. I remember a few years ago when ppl were saying the exact same crap about Mauk being the savior. I'm not saying Locke isn't a better qb, I couldn't tell ya either way, I don't think anybody really knows. But he's gonna struggle, a lot, very soon. And then the Tigers are going to be right back where they were before. Mauk isn't a bad qb, he's got some issues for sure. But I wouldn't be putting a ton of stock into Locke just yet.

I'm not putting a lot of stock in Locke, I just know he looked better against a very weak opponent (South Carolina) than Mauk did against Kentucky. I agree that Mauk wasn't a bad QB the last two years, but something is going on this year because he isn't playing as well this year as he did his freshman year

I have to agree with Boom here. UF is a decent team that is dangerous in the right spots. Don't get confused because they beat Ole Miss like that. Ole Miss beat Bama from turnovers and UF did the same to Ole Miss. Ole miss had 3 drives in the Bama game. 3..! And 2 of those were FGs.. That means the rest of their possessions and points came inside their own 25.. People are all gassed up on Ole Miss cause they scored 150pts against 2 flip flops and then beat Bama.. But they will lose 2 more games. And if UF was to play Bama today, it would look a lot like the UGA game! Unless Bama turned it over 5 times. Lol.. I like UF, I like where they are headed, and they have the formula to do something special this year, but they don't have the horses to finish the race. Much like Ole miss last year, Bama in 2008, ect.... But if you're a UF fan, you have every right to be excited.!! But you need to be concerned will Coach Mac recruit Defense like he should!! His time with Saban should've showed him the most important part of the SEC. Put your Stud Ponys on DEFENSE.!! He should see and admit that his defense has him undefeated this year.! If not for it, UF would be the UF of last year.!!

Lock is the real deal and the future of Mizzou. Call me crazy, but he's way ahead of Mauk in every aspect other than game experience at this point. He's a special athlete who has his shiit together behind center. It's only a matter of time before you are putting your stock in him. Nobody knows the kid now, but that'll change soon. If he takes the pro-caliber ends and backers of Florida with grace this weekend, unrattled, it could be scary how good the guy can become.

I don't see how anyone could say this after watching them play. I knew this would happen though, I was having to convince Bama fans to pick their chins up and that UGA would get destroyed and now I can't pull them out of the sky again, as usual. Florida Defense would keep them in every game and now the offense is all it's needed to be to help out that side of the ball being ranked in the 50's in total offense. I've been saying this for years

Florida is 2 plays away from being "terrible" again this year. Yep, they played 1 great game.....congrats
UT and Arkansas are also a couple of plays away from being unbeaten or have just one loss... but they aren't
The difference is Florida's staff, it's making ALL the difference in getting the best out of what Muschamp left behind for the first year. While Mcelwain has developed and played the guys that weren't even seeing the field last year for some reason, and changing Powell from a RB to a WR is one of those big moves.

Bammer has the worst fans in all of sports.. I am a Bammer fan, but I would love for ISIS to attack that stadium during fan day!! I said that about UF because I don't think they could keep up if they get down by 2 scores against a defense like Bama.. I said last week that UF would be able to move the ball on Ole Miss cause they play a soft zone to be in SEC and live on tackling well and forcing teams to drive the entire field.. Coker had 103 temp and flu, lost his top WR, had no run game, and the OL didn't block a soul and he cut a 25pt def TWICE.! That tells me that Ole Miss defense is NOT what people think it is..
