I hear it on TV in the forums and just wonder is everyone that stupid???Why do people always argue would Boise State go undefeated in the SEC? That makes absolutely no sense at all. Last time I checked you can lose 1 or 2 games in the SEC and go to the national championship. I just dont understand why people say that. You dont have to go undefeated in the SEC to go to the national title game. THat being said could Boise play in the SEC and come away with 1 loss. That should be the arguement. Undefeated duh 2009 bama undefeated 2008 florida one loss 2007 lsu 2 losses 2006 florida one loss
THis is an SEC schedule for this year. Could Boise play this schedule and come away with one loss. South Carolina and Arky the only two tough games until Auburn.

Earth to everyone who says can Boise go undefeated in the SEC. Three out of the last 4 years an SEC team went to the national title game and they were not undefeated

even better question .. would TCU go through w/ only 1 loss? I'd be inclined to speculate 3-4 losses (Aub, Ark, Bama and maybe Miss St.)
Agreed.
Look, a lot of you are forgetting a major fact about playing a SEC
schedule...
#1 the size and speed of the linemen are superior to any other league in
the nation. So even when you play some of the weaker teams, you get
beat up. the score might not reflect that, but that is the biggest
factor in playing in the SEC. your players get beat up/physically
challenged all game...and it goes beyond linemen. the avg athlete is no
comparison to what TCU or Boise faces during their conference games.
by the end of the year of dealing with this, players are not 100%, are
injured, out of line up for a game or 2, or they are out for the year.
Why nobody will recognize this is beyond me. However one of the writers
does post an interesting point...a 1 loss SEC team deserves a shot more
than the non AQ's. sorry guys, have the non AQ's play an SEC schedule
and i guarantee neither TCU or Boise would escape with better then a 3
loss record...maybe a 2 loss yr, but i doubt it.
any given day 1 team can beat the next, especially when they have a
month to prepare and a cupcake schedule to keep their players healthy
all year.
bottom line, anybody who thinks that boise or TCU playing in the SEC
would only yield them 1 loss or less and put them into the BCS is
completely bias and misinformed.
Think of this... UK, one of the weakest teams in the league and here is what they have done: lost 4 of 6 SEC games, but was in every one down to the final minute...point is, there really isnt a pushover (except Vandy) in the SEC. they fight you to the end. Boise and TCU cant say the same

A better question would be what would Florida's record be with Boise's schedule?
1 loss at worse and they are a middle of the road SEC team this year.
I love Boise and what theyve done for College Football but I'm not blind to the fact that they culdnt even play a Pac 10 scedule and have less than 3 losses.
USC
Oregon
Stanford
Arizona
would all beat Boise
and Wshington, Oregon State, Arizona State would all play them close

you could not be further from the mark... Boise would fucking ambush the Pac 10 this year... Oregon has 0 shot at this team... i am on hands and knees praying for that matchup... Boise would show the world what a joke that team truly is...
and USC? ARIZONA????????
gimme a break... only team with any chance would be Stanford, and ONLY if it was in Stanford, at night... otherwise, still no shot...

and by the way, there is no way in hell Boise would lose to Arkansas on the blue turf...
Maybe, maybe not but I do know one thing...in a 10 year stretch, Boise would win 1 maybe 2 in Arkansas (if any) and several other SEC teams stadiums. Having said that we need a play-off bad as everyone deserves a fair shot...

Then let TCU who is geographically closer to the SEC schools swap schedules with Vanderbilt, the laughing stock of the SEC, for one schedule.
Vanderbilt is not in the SEC for football, but academics. It does not hurt that they are above average in several other sports...Belonging to a major conference is much more then just football...

tough to argue for or against this whole boise/sec argument. I think the more plausible, reasonable argument for boise's sake is that there is not one single team in the entire country that can beat Boise State if both have a month to prepare for just the one game.

that is absurd...i think it would hurt them more...give an SEC, Big 12, or Pac 10 team one month to rest their players, and they would demolish boise...boise is never banged up bc the physicality of the teams they play against is nowhere near the level that the big conferences play with

If Boise St was in the SEC, wouldn't you think they would have a lot more bigger, faster and athletic players? They're in the WAC so they are limited in the type of atheletes they can recruit. Give them credtit for taking atheletes nobody wants, and developing them into a fine, cohesive football team. Look at he other side and I'll use Florida as an example. Thake them out of the SEC and put them in any non BCS conference and they would not be getting the atheletes they have now. Urban Meyer knows this but he won't admit it because he's now the head coach of one of the haves and not Utah. The arguement is comparing apples with oranges. Boise St. and TCU can play with anybody! Don't diss them because of their conference affiliation. Boise and TCU might not be this strong next year and I can already hear the "I told you so's". PLAYOFFS!
