Hey guys, sorry for a late write up. But here it goes.
Purdue is obviously coming off of two tough losses, both on the road, after wanting to take over control of the Big Ten with the losses by the Spartans. They return home to play against Penn State who is also coming off of two losses, one coming at home against Wisconsin. Other than the win at Michigan State, the Lions have struggled on the road (discounting the IU victory).
The talk of the Boilers lately has been revolved around Robbie Hummel and has many wondering if he will even play again this year. Painter has said there are many scenarios that they are evaluating for Robbie's status, but it's pretty much a game to game basis.
All of the Hummel talk has overshadowed the emergence of JuJuan Johnson, who is another sensational sophomore, who has picked up when Hummel has been down. He averaged 23 & 7 in both losses on the road and the team has made it clear that Johnson will be a huge factor in running their offense. I'm not sure if Jones & Brooks can stop Johnson down low and another big game may be in store for Johnson.
I think you can throw the first meeting between these two teams out the window, due to the team not being adjusted to life without Hummel. And Chris Kramer was also out, who is the catalyst of the Purdue defense, opening the door for Battle and Pringle to have a field day. Despite having those two starters out, Purdue was still leading with approximately 3 minutes to go, with Penn State getting a late surge for the victory.
In my opinion, the line is set pretty close and it will probably be a no play for me. But I do see a pumped up Paint Crew in Mackey Arena, a stingy Boilermaker defense, and a double digit victory for the Purdue Boilermakers to get back on track in the Big Ten and avoid three straight losses for the first time in 3 years.

I wish you would have done this earlier UGA!! I'm 7-0 in Duquesne games this year...the ONLY team I'm even close to such records with. In fact, I don't think I'm even 2 games over .500 with any other team in the country

great call on my part on the DAWGS. they couldnt have beaten my church league team last night.. that was the worst display of bball I have ever seen from a team.. 3-1 betting on the vols this yr, but look to get back on track on Saturday. Thank God for NC last night, and a beautiful 2nd cover too.
